Morning ladies. Rox I do have some regrets about leaving Largs, just sitting there looking at the islands. It was the travelling that was getting me down, now I’m nearer family and shops. Morty it is a lovely place to live but most of the neighbours I knew most of them have passed away. A lot cooler here this morning, so off to the hairdressers later.
Morning, I wish it was cooler here the heat seems to be building again. went to the pool then Tesco and finally to the Front with my latte to wave watch, getting back into my routine again. Have to wait in this afternoon for a delivery. It’s not a parcel that can be left in the greenhouse but feed for the Clydes and it has to go to the stables.
Enjoy your day everyone.
It’s raining here with a nice refreshing breeze … and it’s heading your way!
Much better.
Good to hear, hope it happens. Weather has a history of changing it’s mind.
I shall be driving up to Wick a bit later in the year to visit my Granddaughter. Anyone wanna meet an elderly Sassenach for a coffee?
Possibly, Depending on where I happen to be, I may be down in Perth or I may be in Edinburgh having my heart operation.
That would be nice. No not the operation silly!
I’ll be glad when it’s all over and done with, but at the same time I’m scared stiff, and the longish recovery time, no pool, no horses, just rest and don’t do anything.
Morning. Sun is trying to come out here and it feels a bit warmer. Visiting my friend later then some food shopping. Rox hope you don’t have to wait to long for your op… Sorry EZ I don’t live any where near Wick to meet up for coffee.
Afternoon, A wee bit cooler today but not much. After I returned from the pool I got stuck into cooking for the freezer. Got a big pot of stovies almost ready to plate up and Beef n onion in the slow cooker, house smells wonderful lol.
I’m sure you are Rox as would anyone be but think to yourself it’s for the best and your quality of life will be so much happier and healthier after it’s all over.
Morning, Lots of cloud today but not much cooler than yesterday. Heading over to the garden centre this afternoon with a pal. Help her choose plants as she’s not too knowledgeable about them, then a coffee in the cafe.
Afternoon. Cloudy here today but warm. Been to Lidle now going down to the Charity shop with the clothes I’m no longer wearing. Then some food shopping at Braehead.
Much better weather now except it does still feel a little humid. I’m pottering about doing a few things I’d been putting off due to the heat.
@Rox the sooner it’s over the sooner you can getback on with your life and relax. Waiting is bleedin horrible. I can smell that mouthwatering beef & onion from here.
I had to google stovies … sounds wonderful.
Morning. Not so nice here this morning so I’ll catch up on housework. I’ve a confession to make I’ve never tried stovies. Dog sitting duties now my niece has asked to look after him while she goes shopping.
Morning, Cloudy here but oh so humid Just back from the pool and The Front, have to have my daily dose of sea air, it’s still very flat and smooth, not like our bit of ocean at all.
Meeting a pal for lunch then probably a lazy afternoon. Daughter and Grandaughter are on their way up for a couple of days. So I’m guessing it’s to be a busy W/E
I remember Reiss Beach so well. It’s the only place I’ve been where the rain never touches down. The wind is so strong that blows it back up again.
Morning, Still dry here, rains not due till this evening. We are taking a trip out to Stroma Island shortly as my daughter loves these deserted islands with all the ruins. (Stroma has been deserted since 1962) She has her nose firmly rooted in the past.
Reiss beach is one I’ve never been to, I have Sandside, Thurso, and Dunnet Beaches all within a very short distance by car. I love Dunnet used to walk in the Forest with Dageus then pop over the road to the beach most days. I know what you mean about the wind and rain, it’s the same here. But then Caithness is also known as “The land of wind”
So so humid here today and horrid with it … and there’s a weather warning out for thunder and heavy rain.
I’m going to google all these lovely destinations … some of them are really beautiful.
Morning. Dry here yesterday till the afternoon. I did manage to get towels dried. Also caught up on housework and then over to Braehead where I met one of my old neighMore housework today and then go for a walk.
