Evening where has the summer gone, I feel cheated as it was so lousy weather wise. Can’t believe tomorrow is the first day of autumn. Even my tomato plants are not doing well in the greenhouse they don’t want to ripen as they’re not getting enough sun and heat, just cool and cloud, it was grass frost through the night… Unbelievable.
Hi Rox the weather here hasn’t been much better. I haven’t bothered with any plants this year as the garden is still a mess. Hope your back to full strength by now. Have you been up to anything and how is The Hairy One doing ?
Hi Jess, Dageus is fine thanks he’s glad to be back up North I think. I’m pain free most of the time but fighting with my lousy balance still, I hope it returns in full as I hate being on the wobble. I have had a beach ride with the Clyde’s and Dunc, I enjoyed that I’ve missed it, but getting on and off was a performance, had to climb up a gate and swing over her back, was quite scary but OK once I was in the saddle. Been a lovely day for a change, hope it keeps up for a while longer.

Evening, Been another nice day and we took a drive over to Wick for some wood. Dunc is going to build me a Mounting Block for getting up on the Clyde’s, make it a lot easier. Something like this for the yard.

Nice day here as well with sun out and warm. Rox that looks like a good idea for you getting on and off the Clydesdale’s. Had my hair done and then did some shopping, new jeans and new undies. Also knitting baby hats for my great great nephew who was born in May, I’ll see him in a few weeks time when he comes here for a visit.
Morning, not so nice today, cloud and windy, not a sign of the sun. I’m not long back from the beach with Dageus, it was almost cold there with the wind coming in off the water, time to rake out the fleece jackets and get them washed up and fresh for the coming weeks. Sigh… Nights are drawing in as well.
Just jobs around the house today and maybe an hour or so with my audio book and jigsaw.
I was looking on line and found a lightweight folding step we can keep in the horse carrier so it will be easy to mount where we park the vehicles, not expensive either so I ordered one.
Morning, sunny here but there is a wind blowing. Washing just finished and I want to get out and do another bit in the garden. Then a walk to the local shops for a few things. Housework as I’ve been neglecting it the last few days, I was getting new windows and doors put in.
Morning dry and sunny but a heck of a wind blowing, still it will get the bedding dry.
Been to the pool and been out with Dageus, after lunch heading over to the big Tesco in Wick, time to restock the cupboards and freezer.

Morning dry and sunny here as well at the moment. Just waiting for a phone call to see when a builder can install french doors into the back garden. Then get into town as I want new towels and a few other things that I need.
Good morning sun is out here again. Yesterday had to call out the Pest Control, I had wasps nest high above the front door all gone now thank goodness. Going over to Byres Road today for a wee change.
Afternoon, What a lovely day almost too hot to work in the garden. Lawns are cut and some weeding done…Now I’m puggled, made a long cold drink and enjoying it indoors out of the heat.
Glad you got rid of your wasps, beastly things, we had a nest a few years back, in the vent coming into the kitchen. I was terrified of them. Dunc waited untill near dark and they were all inside then he sprayed some stuff in with them, and quickly covered the vent with cardboard and packing tape round the edges. It was 2 days before we uncovered it and they were all dead…Phew, the relief.
Having a salad n chips dinner tonight but outside at the big wooden table, not been able to do that much this year.

Evening. Really hot here today as well. I’m glad they’re gone as well, as I did find a few dead ones in the livingroom. Got a quote from a Landscape gardener which is very reasonable, the garden is just to big for me to take care of. Bought a pair of Sketchers today and the chiropodist is coming tonight so happy feet.
Evening, Very cloudy and muggy most of the day but the sun’s now out and we’re sat outside with coffee.
Not done much at all, swam, walked the dog, tidied up and lazed about. I think it’s going to be an uncomfortable night with heat.

Evening it turned quite warm in Glasgow today. Did some food shopping and then home again. Just walked to Aldis’s for a lap tray to eat my dinner off, and do a crossword on. Warmer tonight than last there was a cold wind.
Morning, Looks like it’s to be another lovely day, been for my swim and then started washing the pots in the greenhouse, am away now for the hairy ones beach walk, things are quieter now the English schools are back after the holidays as a lot of tourists have gone…thank goodness…
Will pull the rest of the tables and other stuff out of the greenhouse when I return and get everything all washed up and tidied away till next spring. As you can see I was being supervised while he snoozed in the warm sun…With one eye on me. 
I wonder if/when Bonnie is coming back?

Afternoon. You’ve been busy Rox, washing all the pots and putting them away for next year. Had my hair done the did two lots of washing and its out on the line. Waiting for my niece to take me to lunch.

Good evening. Went over to Rothsey with my friend for the weekend, Friday was really warm and sunny. Yesterday it was sunny then we had some rain but it didn’t keep us in. Home again and will have to clear out one of the rooms as I’m getting French doors put in one of the bedrooms.
