Morning All, Very dull and cloudy here at the moment, going to take the Hairy One out shortly incase it starts to rain. Sunday is usually drive over to the beach day and have a walk then breakfast back at the car, but not in the mood today, so it’s up to the park, walk round, then I’ll sit and chuck the ball for him.
Nothing planned and no one due to call here sooooo, just a slowish day on my own.

Oh Dear Jess, Sorry to hear that. Too many people that I either knew or film/pop stars that I liked growing up are now gone.:fearful:

Good afternoon just going out for a walk. Got a bit brighter here but still no sun. Need to stretch my legs as have been ironing all afternoon. My legs get stiff.
Having chicken breasts for dinner with roasties and veg. Find a whole chicken too much and hate carving it. Not keen on anything on the bone.
That’s all I hear too, Rox, so many old stars gone.depressing. Anyway enjoy your wee trip to the shops Jess.
Have a good Sunday night all

Good afternoon all. Tunrned out sunny here after a dull start. Put my bedding out hoping it wouldn’t rain. Really glad I did everything dry and ironed.
Went down the street to the post office, got a cough bottle for my neighbour across the road and some Ribena for her sister too. Both of them have a really bad bug. Needless to say just handed stuff in and made a swift exit. They are really great neighbours give
Me lifts everywhere.
Hope it is as sunny where you are as it is here. Going to IKEA tonight for some storage units.

Just saying, please don’t shoot the messenger. It’s Monday and I dislike Mondays with a passion lol!

However, I’ve a very old set of knives which includes two magical ones that will cut through metal if so required.

As I have stressful situations too frequently, I love buying a fully roasted whole chicken, hot or cold and hacking it to four pieces.

Best stress relief plus delicious dinners for two nights in a row.

Wacka wacka, yumm…:rofl::rofl::rofl:

As mentioned above, I hate Mondays. However, I expected a phone call to arrange delivery of a large appliance.

Of course, the phone call didn’t come as it’s 7pm just now. Talked in the chat online service on Thursday last, all was tickyboo, I’ve got the transcript with proof. Went to store Saturday to purchase. The store manager did a brilliant job but slightly different than what promised on Thursday last. I was still hopeful.

Today, was expecting a delivery date. Now the one online gave a date and time, I agreed (fingers crossed) then she comes back saying she can’t book it.

Worst, she comes back with a two weeks wait. WHAT???

Unacceptable correct? My receipt states 1 to 7 days for delivery. I’ve frozen foods defrosting here…

Sorry, you can imagine bit frustrated

Sun came out here just after teatime, Jean sorry to hear your neighbours aren’t to good, I know they have been very good to you. Been to Ikea once since I moved here, Elizabeth took me over might go back again for a look. Supernatural, hope you manage to get a replacement fridge quickly, its all the food that you waste when it goes wrong. Met up with my friends today and had a good old chinwag.

Gosh I envy you dear @valentinojess . That’s what daughter and I miss the good chinwag we used to have with hubby.

It wasn’t overly sunny today. Just light on and now getting darker. The good news, it was much warmer so no huge gas expense for heating. Great relief…

Good Morning all. Going to Next in East Kilbride to return some stuff I bought on line.
Not sunny yet but supposed to be really nice later on.
Hope you get your fridge Super. Hate waiting for deliveries I have no patience in my old age.
Got my storage boxes at IKEA. Haven’t been there for ages Jess
Have a nice day everyone

Morning, Yes I’m fine thanks Jess I just get a bit fed up with the Internet sometimes and stay off it for a couple of days. Hope you get your fridge problem sorted soon, hate when things break down, my own big fridge freezer has been making some very rattling noises when it comes on the last few days :astonished: I suppose it’s the start of it needing replaced, I shouldn’t moan as it’s 12 years old, BUT…ggggrrrrrr. :frowning:
Not sure if I should leave it or replace it now, it’s bound to die when I’m up north and that means David will have to sort it and he won’t be happy if his food goes off. :astonished:

Hi Rox good to see you posting again. I had it happen in my last house, I was away for the weekend and came to the built in freezer had broke down. Luckily I had brought my fridge freezer from other house, also my niece and her friend had come down and brought the fridge in for me. Got a few tweaks on the kitchen now waiting to hear when the joiner can start on it.

Good luck with your tweaks Jess. You are right to get things sorted to suit you.

Facing an incredibly long, long day and night. I’m expecting a delivery. Timeframe between 7am-11am Thursday. I have a plugged in doorbell but most don’t use it and they just knock which half the time does not wake us up. Bummer!

So, we’ll snooze throughout the day and spend a white night. As weird as it might sound, it’ll be definitely worth it. Fingers crossed :crossed_fingers:

I just can’t wait

Good afternoon. Jean never mind it wont be long till the school holidays. Hi Super, I hate time slots as well I prefer them early then you have the day to yourself. Kitchen is going to be done starting on Monday, cant wait. Had a bit of sad news today, been phoning one of my older cousins and it was his answering machine, anyway Elizabeth said we’ll drive over to see if he was ok. Some of the neighbours were standing chatting, Elizabeth asked them about Hugh, sadly he passed away and his funeral was two weeks ago. He had no family and his wife passed away during covid.

Afternoon beautiful day here, wall to wall blue sky from the start, pity about the wind though, made it too chilly to sit out.
Started a spring clean in the greenhouse but a careful one, my balance is really bad and I don’t want to fall through glass.
Full ropes with washing, what a great drying day, just got to fold it and put it away. Had an early swim and the pool was so quiet, only 4 of us, I like it that way.
Evening on TV catch up for me.
