Good morning. Supernatural yes it was Braehead shopping centre, I’m there most days for food from M&S. It sounds like your house will need a lot of work done on it, also sounds like a lovely place y our living in. Housework for me then take something back to Next then later going for dinner at my nieces house.
Oh good that means its open still. Yeah! Most of my shopping is done at Lidl with occasional visits to Morrisons, Aldi and for the freezer, Iceland. I keep an eye out for sales and specials.
H&B for natural remedies and the Primark there has a bigger store than my local lol.
One thing we all love from M&S are the fruit cakes. Our 25th wedding anniversary cake was a single tier but so much tastier than our original wedding day cake. So much more flavour, moist and tender.
Although daughter says that her ideal wedding cake is triple chocolate making certain that the roses will be edible lol!
Finalising groceries list and trying to type around a kitten. Here’s hoping my typings okay. Later @valentinojess
Yes its still open with a few different shops. I was in Primark yesterday and came out again as it was so busy, I’ll again through the week. M&S do have some nice cakes I like fresh cream cakes and trifle. I’m not really fond of chocolate cake. Don’t worry your typing is fine.
Morning All, lovely here today wall to wall blue sky and some heat in the sun. Got the bedding in the machine the now it’s a good day for it to dry. Fair chuffed I went to the pool at 7am and it wasn’t as difficult as I thought it might be. I only did 14, swam up one way and walked back the other. First length was sore on the knee but after a couple it loosened off. I decided yesterday that I need to return to my old way of life or I could end up an invalid, sooooo day one is a few hours in.
Supernatural I don’t have a cast on my leg, I smashed my tibia and yanked my replacement knee out of it’s moorings, was in hospital for several weeks where I had a big operation to put things back together. Held together with metal rod, plate, and screws. Was using a zimmer for weeks and now on sticks, can manage indoors without them on a good day. Am working with a physio who comes to the house once a fortnight. Now I am back at the pool I’m hoping for some rapid improvement. Then I can get back up North to the farm and my partner.
I asked the surgeon if my daughter could take a photo of my Xrays with her phone, he agreed.
Top one is what I did when I fell.
Bottom one is after they put me together again.
Good afternoon, Rox well done on getting to the pool today and starting your swimming lengths again. Lovely day here as well, niece picked up early this morning and I did the final tweak on the kitchen, just want to get it over and done with. Also to B&Q for gardening tools, so got a bit done in the garden this afternoon.
Really hacked off this morning. A week ago my Perth Chemist collected my prescription from the Docs, next day half of it was delivered but they were having problems getting the Oxycodone so on Thursday they had tracked down a bottle in Boots and sent the prescription to them. 9am this morning I’m at the counter to collect it, only to be told it’s not ready and to wait 30 minutes. I said why is it not ready you have had it for 5 days Herself just looked at me, I had struggled to get there as I had to park a good bit away, so the thought of hanging about till they got their finger out was not what I wanted to do, besides I had Dageus waiting in the car. I told them to forget it and she gave me the prescription back saying “oh well if you won’t wait” I took it and before I left said I wouldn’t have to wait if you incompetent Scunners had done your job. Went to my usual Perth Chemist, told them the story and they will deliver it as soon as they can.
As for Boots, never again.
Rox I had the same a few months ago, Practice nurse gave me a script for a steroid cream. Went to chemist to be told half hour wait, said I would collect in the morning next day no cream. Took the script back next chemist didn’t have it. Finally went to Boots and got it on the Monday morning. A lot of people are having the same problem, getting their medication from chemists.
It’s a supply problem with my Oxycodone, they can’t get it from the warehouse according to my chemist lady. I am hoping they can get it before I run out, I have about half a bottle left, and I’m going to drop the dosage from 3mls to 2mls to stretch it out a bit.
I’m wondering if it’s sat in one of those stuck lorries down in Dover.
Good morning raining here after the nice day yesterday. My nieces ex came round yesterday and cut the grass in the back garden for. Also got the washing out yesterday and got it all dried. Not sure what I’m doing today probably some housework. Rox hope they manage to get the medicine that you need.
Morning, Not so nice here today, Sun’s trying but too many clouds. Daughter is coming through later this morning and we’re going for a wander in Asda, I want a rake round George and some groceries, if I’m not worn out then I want to go to Matalan as well, then heading somewhere for lunch. It’s great to be Swimming again but it wears me out and I’m sleeping more. Still I guess this body needs it.
Enjoy your day.
Morning. Weather not so nice here either, grey skies and cold. Rox enjoy your trip to the shops with your daughter and lunch. Going to visit my friend and take Easter cards for her and her sisters. After that probably get some ironing done.
Morning, Not long back from the pool, lot of angry people there at 7am. Bannatynes had decided to open at 8am instead of 6.30am because of Good Friday, didn’t tell anyone or put up a notice or send member emails. They don’t usually take holidays except at Christmas. They were getting it in the neck from everyone who swims before they go to work. I just went back home and had a coffee then returned, blooming Scunner threw my day out totally.
Nice out blue sky and sun so it’s washing and a greenhouse tidy for me today.
Hi Rox you would have they would have made an announcement that the pool would be opening later today. Nieces ex came round and strimmed the rest of the gardens today. Lovely sunny warm day here and I was out with my nieces for lunch, got my hair done and then my nails.
Morning, Dull and grey here at the moment. Just out of the shower and pleated my wet hair so it dries all wavy. Had a busy week and as David’s coming to walk Dageus I’m back in clean jammies, going to have a lazy day doing very little, catch up on TV I’ve recorded and some reading or knitting, see how I feel.
Have a nice day and Happy Easter.
Happy Easter, Rox. Not sure what I’m getting up to yet, maybe some gardening and then a trip to the shops. Enjoy having a lazy day.
Good morning all! Oops forgot something BRB lol. I’d picked up kitten after making coffee and juice so left them in kitchen.
Found new source of vitamins with these important minerals: selenium 55ug; iron and iodine. 120 tablets bottle for £3.29 in HomeBargains. We were in for loo roll special. So double blessings lol.
Once we finish the double tablet regime, one of selenium and one multi vitamin with iron, it’ll be great to cut down the expense at other store and just get one or two bottles and just one pill daily to maintain thyroid health and all others.
Bad idea for loo rolls, they’re smaller than local low priced brand but the vitamins find, two thumbs up. Yeah!
Morning, Nice here today if it stays like this I may get to sit out for a while later on. Had an early walk with Dageus round the park, stopping at benches for a rest, but it was very quiet and we enjoyed it.
Went to the shop for rolls and not needing to do anything else, the neighbours are away so it will be nice n quiet here without their grandkids screaming and fighting at the top of their lungs.
Enjoy your day.
Good morning everybody. Not so nice here yesterday boo hoo. Put out the washing and its blowing away on the line, hope it doesn’t rain. Got dinner in so will go out for a walk later to one of the local shops for a Sunday paper.
Morning, Where has everyone gone? Sooo very quiet in here the past few days. Not long back from the pool, late swim as they didn’t open till 8am. It’s getting easier and no pain at all when I swim or walk the lengths, found it easier to get out of the jacuzzi as well, things are slowly returning to normal…At long last.
It’s not too bad here so might do a bit of work in the garden later. Have a nice day now.
Afternoon.Weather not so nice today theres been a few showers, now the sun has come out. Was intending to go into Glasgow early but couldn’t be bothered. Rox glad your getting back into a routine again with your swimming, keep up the good work.
