Over 50's Club Scotland

May good luck with the Hospital app, hope you don’t catch any bugs. Rox glad you managed to get out for your shopping today, it’s terrible when a virus takes its time going away. Was in town today and bought a wee dress for the holidays, hope it fits or I’ll need to take it back.

Actually Jess I think this weak wobbly state is the aftermath of the flu, the fall, the shock ect. Everything I’ve been through since January 3rd. I’ve had my whole way of life turned upside down and, I’ve virtually been housebound for weeks only been out a few times. I googled weak and wobbly after flu and this is what it came up with, it’s exactly how I feel.

Post-viral syndrome, or post-viral fatigue , refers to a sense of tiredness and weakness that lingers after a person has fought off a viral infection. It can arise even after common infections, such as the flu or cold.

I’m due to have a catch up on Tuesday with my Doctor and hopefully she will be able to get me back on track. I can’t keep on like this, I was doing well until this virus now I’m as weak as a wee kitten.

Rox it certainly sounds like that’s what your suffering from, hope that your doctor can help you tomorrow. I hate being stuck in the house even for a few days, due to bad weather. I like getting out to the shops even if its just for a look and see what’s on offer. Meeting up with friends today at Braehead for coffee and a chat.

That’s one thing I really miss, lunch with my girlfriends and the gossip catchup. It was just before Christmas we last met up.
Dunc’s coming down for a few days as he can’t do much thanks to the snow and rain up there. He has someone coming in daily to feed and check the animals. So they will be ok.
Managed to clean out the car this morning it was filthy inside, quite pleased I managed it, had to stop a couple of times for a breather but it’s looking ok now and is smelling nice with magic trees hanging. Tomorrow will take it to the drive through car wash, not able for the jet one…Yet.
Afternoon on the computer with a jigsaw and an audio book I think, not done that for a while. Unless sleep dictates otherwise.
Have a nice day.

Hi Rox you’ll be glad of the company when Dunc comes through for a few days. A busy day for you cleaning out the car, ready for the carwash. Met up with my friends today, I think it was the first time for a few months, as they were away on holiday. Got my council tax bill through this morning.

Morning, Ventured out by myself, not long back. I had an appointment with my Chiropractor who was pleased as I wasn’t too knotted up. Took the car for an extra ten miles, the long way home as she hardly moves anymore, not good for her at all.
Dunc is on his way so I’m making his favourite Sunday Roast Beef and all the trimmings for his dinner tonight.
Enjoy your day, whatever your up to.

Hi Rox, well done on going by yourself this morning. Also getting to your Chiropractor for some treatment, you’ll feel a lot better for it. Dinner sounds good and Dunc will be happy to see you. Went to the bank this morning to pay in the money I owe my friend, then some food shopping. Have a good evening.

Morning, What a wind out there, Dunc is away with Dageus while I stay inside. Hope it dies down soon. I want to use my car tomorrow and see if I can drive over to the coast for a whiff of sea air, while I have himself here with me. I see that awful wind has blown a ship over from it’s dry dock mooring at Leith, what a scare for anyone on board. Have a nice day now, don’t get blown away.

Emergency crews at Leith dockyard as ship tips over - BBC News

Morning. Quite windy here as well today. I seen on Facebook about the ship being blown over at Leith docks. Had ny niece in this morning for a visit and a cuppa. Going out shortly to the shops and maybe have some lunch while I’m out.

Good morning raining here this morning. Went for a massage yesterday and felt better for it. Nothing much planned for today except a trip to the hairdressers. Rox hope your feeling a bit better and getting spoiled by Dunc.

Evening, Yes it was nice to have him here for a few days, he’s on his way back up the road just now. Last text he was at Brora so it’s not too far now. He got the doctor back to me and now I’m on antibiotics, I feel ok just so weak and wobbly, he told me not to go back to the pool unless someone is with me so that’s ok by me.
We drove to the beach and I sat up on a bench overlooking the beach and soaked up the sea air, while Dageus and himself played around in the sand and the rock pools, we had taken a flask of coffee and a sandwich for lunch so we had them at my bench. I really enjoyed it but it wiped me out and I slept for ages after.

Morning. Hi Rox Your going to miss Dunc, good job he came down to see you and called the doctor for you. Lets hope the antibiotics starting doing their work… I miss my walks by the sea and when its a bit warmer I’ll get the bus down and go for a walk and have a fish supper.

Morning Dry here but a bit colder than of late, feeling a bit low today but I guess it’s because I’m back on my own again.
Day 3 of the antibiotics and my head seems to be clearing a bit, hope they hurry up and clear me as I only got a 5 day course.
It was good to see and smell the ocean again but I’m aching to get back to my beaches, full of huge wild waves and clear air. Hopefully not too much longer before I can do the drive.
Have a nice day.

Good morning. Rox hope your starting to feel a lot better today. Cold and sunny here at the moment, not sure what I’m getting up to today. I know what you mean about the ocean it can be calm in summer and plenty of big waves in winter time. Give it a few weeks and you’ll be driving all over the place again.

I hope so Jess I hope so. I’ve been down before but never for so long. Wonder where May and Bonnie are I miss their chatter. This could be quite a busy thread if all the Scots on here popped in to say morning.
Really quite cold here today, I had my wee tomato plant in the bathroom on the windowsill but have taken it away from the window as it’s to be minus 3 tonight. Hoped we were done with frosts till next Winter.

Hi Rox. I look in to the Scottish forum most days but seldom post. I lead a pretty boring life up here and have little to report. I have been following your recovery progress. It has been a long hard struggle for you but you seem to be well on the road to recovery now. It was our 56th wedding anniversary yesterday. We have been having snow and hail showers here today.

Good morning. Rox onwards and upwards, every day is a day closer to getting out and about again. Hi Scot, good to see you posting and a belated Happy Anniversary to you. Cold and sunny here today, getting my curtains delivered and hung today, then a kitchen planner this afternoon.

Morning All, So good to see the sun out in a lovely blue sky, it’s fair melting the overnight frost away. If it stays nice I may see about having my lunch outside at the big bench, do me good to get some sun on me.
Nothing planned just a wee bit of tidying up and defrosting something for dinner tonight.
Glad to see you Scot, and hope you both had a nice anniversary day. You live up near Dunc’s farm don’t you? I know life up here can go at a snails pace but I enjoy that, and away from the hussle n bussle of Perth. Also if you pop in then we know your ok and everything is fine. Jess I would love a new kitchen, but it’s really too small to do much with, and Dunc’s is long and narrow but he had an extension added on to it and it’s where we eat and it’s 3 walls glass so like a small conserverty. Dageus loves it there in the sun with the french doors open.
Have a nice day,

No Rox, I stay in Aberdeenshire. Better day here, the sun is shining and the snow has melted.

Rox I think they installed this kitchen themselves as there is some gaps in places. It must be lovely sitting in the extension with the sun shining in, does Dageus a have a nap in there. Scot sun is shining here and I managed to get and do a bit in the garden, will have to get some gardening tools soon.
