Over 50's Club Scotland

Good morning. Rox enjoy your trip to Asda today and looking at the clothes. I used to stay across the road from the one in Govan loved going for a mooch round there. Might get the bus along one day when its a bit warmer. Housework and ironing for me today and then put my feet up.

Good Morning Each,a milder wet n windy one hereā€¦had a walk up the hill to Scotmid earlier for salad stuff and a couple of Aulds rolls which are nowhere near as satisfying as Mortons so donā€™t think Iā€™ll bother in future,

My wee stint in the garden yesterday has Me eager to get out and do more but weatherā€™s not too promising as more sleet/rain/strong winds forecastā€¦Iā€™m bored to death!

May the weather is much the same here thatā€™s why Iā€™m staying put at home. My hairdressers niece brought Mc Gees rolls into the Salon on Friday and they said they were quite good. We have a local bakery here but Iā€™ve not tried their rolls.

Actually we do have an Asda but we always have it delivered to our door and much else. And we shop on line for other things. There are just a things we canā€™t do like hospital visits.

When Iā€™m down in Perth Iā€™m spoilt for choice of supermarkets but up in Thurso thereā€™s a small Tesco as you come into the town, a Lidil as you go out the other side of the town and a Co-op in the middle. Thatā€™s our lot.

Good morning raining here this morning, meeting up with a friend later for coffee. I can get the bus to Braehead and thereā€™s M&S and Sainsburyā€™s. Also get the bus to Aldiā€™s. Jean hope your ok.

Good afternoon People,a horrible wet n windy one here so staying put,
I need a copy of My recent eye test for the Hospital before the other eye is operated on,so thought Iā€™d pop into the Opticians @ the weekend which is next door to Scotmid, but They were shut and only open 3 days a week,so phoned this morning and Theyā€™ll send it out first class postā€¦save Me going out in all this rain,
I see Jean is onli ne so Sheā€™s with Us in spirit anyway :wave:ā€¦Bonnieā€¦come on down :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

Good afternoon cold and wet here. Met my friend and had a wee wander round Primark, bought myself a jacket while I was in there. Had some lunch then my friend Halima left to go home. Needed a few things i M&S bread and some fruit. Mat thatā€™s good the Optician is sending you a copy of the paperwork you need for the Hospital. Will give Bonnie a phone later this evening.

Good morning Each, just got in from a gallivant around Town before it started snowingā€¦Weā€™ve had it all here this mornā€™ā€¦frost/sun/rain/sleet/snowā€¦glad to be Home and looking forward to a rhubarb crumble for lunchā€¦whit diet!! :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

Good afternoon. Snowing here at the moment May glad Iā€™m indoors. Niece took me to order a recliner chair it will be the same colour as my couches, got dropped off at the hairdressers and getting my shopping brought in for me.

Good morning everybody, raining here this morning so wont be going far. May and Rox hope your both well.Jean phoned last night, they were having a few problems with her grandson but seems to be settling down again.

Morning, Heavy rain since yesterday and no sign of it stopping either. Been a bit down the last few days, coughing, sneezing, sore throat, generally feeling flu like and miserable with it, slept a lot and I feel a wee bit better today, hopefully itā€™s starting to shift.
Not planning on any Supermarket trips ect untill itā€™s gone and then I may just start to wear my mask for a while.
Have a nice day what ever your up to.

Hi Rox sorry to hear your still suffering with the cold, hope it shifts soon. I wanted to go into Glasgow today but it was cold and wet so caught the bus to Braehead. Bought a few tops in Primark for my holiday in May, another one in M&S and a jumper. Going to have some crusty bread and soup then make my bed up.

Morning, Itā€™s stopped raining and thatā€™s all I can say about it. Dageus will be able to hopefully get a good walk without getting soaked.
Itā€™s going to be another day of sleeping for me, no sign of this letting up. What a start to the year itā€™s been from the fall on January 3rd then one thing after another. Am sooooo sick of it, if I had a guardian angel she has joined the ranks of the strikers, cos sheā€™s sure left me in the mire.
Enjoy your day everyone.

GOOD NEWS for you ones who like Mortons Rolls. Personally Iā€™ve never tasted them but Iā€™m well chuffed for you now.

Mortonā€™s Rolls to restart production after rescue - BBC News

Good afternoon. Rox sorry to hear your still feeling rotten, hopefully youā€™ll wake up tomorrow full of the joys of spring. Itā€™s ages since I had a Mortonā€™s roll may will be pleased about that. Went to the local shops for a few things and had some lunch while I was out. Hair and nails this afternoon, then home and put my feet up.

Afternoon, Blimey what a day, rain rain and more rain. Dog got drenched on his walk with David today. Glad I got the coat cut as it didnā€™t take too long for the hair dryer to sort him out, then he spent an hour on the fireside rug snoozing. Once again Iā€™ve been stuck inside, thatā€™s a week tomorrow since I was out and picked up this bug. Hoping Iā€™ll be able to go to the Supermarket tomorrow with Regan as Iā€™m going stir crazy with lots of coughing and a growing rattled mood. Miss up North, we would likely be going out to dinner tonight, I feel that would chuff me up no end.
Enjoy the rest of your Weekend folks.

Hi Rox, a few showers here today but not as bad as yesterday when they were really heavy, Went into today and bought some new pyjamas, also treated myself to a new handbag. Hope you manage to get out shopping tomorrow with Regan and get some fresh air.

Good afternoon All,itā€™s a fine dry sunny one here so cut the grass on the front and side lawns as the forecast is for rain in the next few days,

Iā€™m hoping I donā€™t catch any colds/fluā€™ in the next 3 weeks or so as I donā€™t want to have to cancel My Hospā€™ apptā€™ which I should have had in Januaryā€¦x fingers!

Not much else to say really as Life at the moment is just pretty bloody boring

Afternoon Ladies, I went to Tesco with Regan, thankfully it wasnā€™t too busy. Had a quiet wander round and as well as my messages I bought plenty I shouldnā€™t have. :grimacing: It tired me out though, and I was glad to plonk down in an armchair with a mug of coffee, this virus has taken a lot out of me, more than I realised. Hopefully the end is in sight and I can think about returning to the pool a few times a week.
Have a good day now.
