Over 50's Club Scotland

Good morning. Put the tree and the decorations away yesterday in the garage. Then did some housework and relaxed by starting to knit a hat. Hope I can get out later today if there is a thaw on. Rox glad they found out what is wrong with your car. May haven’t made a pot of soup for about five years.

Morning All, There’s no frost this morning and I can walk no bother, but still got my ice grips on my boots. Going to give my car a run shortly as it’s been sitting for too long so taking the chance, but will stick to the main road then through the town to The Front and have my latte, I get withdrawal symptoms if I don’t get to the ocean. :smirk:
I’ll be making a big pot of soup this afternoon Jess, lentil with lots of carrots n onions, along side a pot of boiled tatties to have with it. One plate of that and I’m stuffed :slightly_smiling_face:

Magic! I got up this morning and it had all gone … the usual shades of brown and green had returned.
This kind of here today, gone tomorrow snow is fine by me.

Off to Norfolk for a few days tomorrow. A friend of Mrs Dex has gone abroad for a few weeks, so we can use her house and (the real reason for going…) look after her elderly mother.

Thank heavens the snow has gone!!

Here’s the rub though… it’s 130 miles away from us, but usually takes 4+ hours to get there. How bonkers is that?

Know what you mean, it’s 233 miles front my drive to the farm but takes around 5 and a half hours, often longer. Have a stopping place in Dingwall for a comfort break and a sandwich around 20min. Really depends on that A9 and how many damn tourists with motor homes are causing problems.

Ohhh Blimey what a day, everything’s solid and can hardly see across the yard, the Haar coming in off the ocean is so thick. Was standing at the back door and it was silence everywhere, no traffic noises from the main road, the sheep are quiet and I think they’re in the barn, no stomping Clydes looking for treats they’re in the stable, it’s uncanny without the usual noises.
Hope it’s better where you all are, have a good day.

Good morning Folks,it’s a cold dreich wet one here,but have no plans to go gallivanting…I don’t seem to have much enthusiasm for anything these days so Don’t have anything to say really…watching too much tele’ and neglecting My exercises…hey ho…Hope I get My mojo back soon :unamused:

Good evening. Didn’t do very much today apart from going to the shopping centre. There seems to be a thaw on thank goodness. Stayed in for three days this week, I hate staying in the house all the time.

Gods that sounds so spooky and eerie like the opening line of a scary horror story… especially after reading Rox’s post first.

It’s wonderful how you can make the weather sound so romantic? Spooky? Straight out of a Dracula film.

@scot37 … that’s actually a beautiful photo with it’s hazed frosty look.
