Over 50's Club Scotland

Dry eyes May … central heating can dry the air something shocking.

That’s Christmas done and dusted , shortest day has gone by … soon it will all be behind us.
I could do with losing a couple of stone though next year … and when that becomes ‘this’ year I’ll have to get on with it.
:face_with_hand_over_mouth:

Morning, It’s a wee bit brighter today but only 2 deg. Just been to Tesco on my own this time, went very early before the rush starts then had my latte down at The Front, wave watching and listening to the sound of the ocean it was nice I enjoyed it. Home now but still lights on, going to have a wee rest then head off for a walk. Determined to walk every day it was too easy to get out of the habit and my legs stiffen up.
Have a nice day all.

Sounds like you’re determined to get your life back to normal … you’ve been a brave girl. Did that sound patronising? Sorry … but you have. Incredibly brave even whilst incredibly nervous and worried. 2025 was crap wasn’t it.
Here’s hoping next year is a lovely year for you Rox.

Nondescript weather here but I see it’s set to get very cold by next weekend and if they’re saying 2 degrees down in the North West of England god knows what Scotland will be like.

Evening. Didn’t do much today apart from cleaning the kitchen and going to M&S. Rox your determined to get on with your life, good for you.

Morning, Couldn’t sleep so up in front of the fire with a hot choccy. Light frost out and the car will probably need defrosted when I head out. Yes I want to get my life back to the way it was but it’s to be done slowly and Himself’s making sure I behave. Bossy boots.
Looked at the long range weather and we start the New Year with snow, lots of it over a week or so. Just Great…Sigh.
Have a nice day all.

Morning. Cold and grey looking out there today. Want to go into town later. That’s one thing I don’t miss about driving. defrosting a car in the morning. I thought I heard on the news something about snow, but not sure where it was.

Oh Lordy just what I need…Not.

Good morning People,a very cold frosty one here but no snow…yet.
Going for a walk to the CO-OP for fresh fruit & veg to make a big pot of
lentil & potato soup…I find the pain in My joints is less when they are numb
from the cold

I’ve been reading about the pain and suffering some of Our Members are going through, and I’m lost for words at how brave Mart,Swimfeeders,Besoaker and others are enduring…not forgetting Rox who seems to be on the mend now…God bless Them…I keepThem in My prayers every night.

Have a good day All and keep safe & warm,xx

Good morning. Frosty here this morning but the sun is trying to make an appearance… May this is the only site I use on here. Had a lovely surprise yesterday I got a bouquet of flowers a bottle of Prosecco and chocolates from one of my friends. Hair and nails today then meeting friends for something to eat and a few glasses of wine.

Afternoon All, Not been able to get out today and I’m totally hacked off. I have a problem with the car, the heater has decided to only blow cold air and I can’t keep the windscreen clear in this freezing weather. As for defrosting it’s impossible, unless the car is parked in the sun, guess what…No sun.
AND the garages are all closed till after New Year. Gggggrrr.
Apart from that it’s not a bad day, just trapped at home as Himself is away with the Land Rover.

Morning, A very hard frost overnight the car is solid, damn weather. It couldn’t be a worse time of year for this. :sob: Going to just stay and clean the house today and we’re off to the New Year Caleigh in the village this evening.
Have a good New Year everyone.

Auld Lang Syne

Should auld acquaintance be forgot,
And never brought to mind?
Should auld acquaintance be forgot,
And auld lang syne!

For auld lang syne, my jo,
For auld lang syne,
We’ll tak a cup o’ kindness yet
For auld lang syne.

And surely you’ll be your pint stoup,
And surely I’ll be mine,
And we’ll tak a cup o’ kindness yet
For auld lang syne!
