Morning everybody. Grey looking here this morning as well. Going for my jags in two weeks time. Rox it looks like its all systems go for you now. Need some wool and a pattern for hats so I’ll go down to Renfrew to the local shop.
I’ll miss out on my Jags this year, I’m booked for them the same day I go into the ERI, I often feel quite rotten a few hours after having them so I don’t want them interfering with the op. I will not be going to the pool or even to town for weeks after so I should be ok.
I got my jags a couple of days ago. No after effects. You will be glad when your operation is over Rox. It has been a worrying time for you. I’m sure everything will go well.
My dad gad several Jags when I was growing up, all ex police cars, boy could they shift. ![]()
Well, my dad drove a tractor, a Ferguson, and I was allowed to drive it at quite an early age. That how I got started on that - with my dad’s help/enjoyment !!
Aftnoon all …
I used to love Jags … nothing like them. Great little beasties. Mind, I used to like little Truimph Spitfires too.
@Rox You’ll be as nervous as hell but keyhole is good, …much better than open heart. Less time in hospital, less risk of infection, less scarring and you get your life back sooner.
Good Afternoon All,had a job getting on here earlier,so I’m off to do a security check,
See Ye A’ later,x
Hi again,did a security check then a restart…All seems to be sorted…hopefully,
Rox,this time next Month Your Op’ will be over and done and You’ll be recovering well at Home…xx
Evening, Been one of those days I just couldn’t be bothered to do anything, didn’t go to the pool just put the alarm off and went back to sleep.
Didn’t even get dressed or go to the beach it all took to much effort. Hope tomorrow is a better day.
So much on your mind. Who can blame you? Less than 30 days now before you get back to a sense of normality.
Heaven forbid that I am in a position to sermonise, but try not to procrastinate too much. Xx
Good morning Folks, another grey dreich one here, but it’s nice & cozy in My kitchen where I’m doing a cook-up for the freezer…Carrot & lentil soup,Chicken curry, and bolognese sauce…Listening to some rock n roll, but not having a dance around as the old arthritic joints are giving Me gyp ![]()
See Ye A’ later x
Morning. Housework this morning , then maybe get out and try and do something in the garden. Then pick up something for lunch and go round to visit my niece.
Am driving up to Banchory in a bit. Wedding tomorrow.
shame on you you bigamist … I thought you were already married.
It’s a dull dreary day here so it calls for pampering and indulgence and Me Me Me time.
You know me. Treat ‘em mean, keep ‘em keen. That’s my motto. ![]()
Evening, Been dull and dreary here, did the pool then round to The Front with my latte, like May I made a big pot of lentil soup after breakfast, also a pot of boiled potatoes to mix through it.
Started a final tidy up in the garden, cutting shrubs back and weeding. Will hopefully finish that tomorrow.
Have a nice W/E.
So, having arrived at Banchory a couple or so hours ago and nipped out for a bite to eat in a lovely little pizza place on he high street, we had a stroll and nosey around. What a lovely place it seems. What was particularly interesting (indeed we found it unusual) is that instead of the usual plethora of takeaways, vape shops and charity shops, there were a fair few good old and proper shops, with nice things on display at reasonable prices.
I kinda guess that this is because it is a proper town which “services” a wider physical area, if you know what I mean.
It was also lovely to walk along and smell coal/wood fires being used to heat some houses.
Hats off to you Scots if this isn’t a complete rarity in your fine country.
You could certainly put Thurso in that category.
Another thing…my iPhone Map (which is related via CarPlay on the car tablet screen thingy) picked a route which took us along some country roads. Gosh, I’ve become rusty in terms of driving along these anywhere close to the speed limit.
But, it has to be said, I can’t recall it ever being as dark as that. Black means black up here. Just about everywhere I’ve ever driven before as at least a tad of light pollution every 3-4 mins. But not up here.
Strange to think that you live a mere couple of hundred miles away from me, but it’s like a completely different planet. I think it’s only now that I can even begin to understand why you’re so fiercely protective of what you’ve got. Rightly so, imho!!
AND, The penny drops.
