Oh Jess I know that feeling, last winter I got home from the pool and found I’d no phone, talk about panic, I drove back as fast as I dared and asked if it had been handed in… No. I went and searched the changing room, nothing. I was almost in tears as I headed back to the car, then another car came into the car park and it’s lights picked out something on the ground where I’d first parked, it was my phone, it had fallen out of my body warmers silly wee pocket and I’d not noticed. What a relief, I put that body warner into the charity bag as I would never wear it again.
Pockets are getting smaller and phones are getting bigger…Not Good. I leave my phone in the car now while I’m in the pool. Every jacket, body warmer ect I buy now I make sure it has good sized pockets.
Morning, Dry but windy here today. Finishing up cooking for the freezer today and packing for going to Perth. Have to be at the Edinburgh Heart Hospital on Friday for my pre operation scans and a talk with the Surgeon and if possible the anesthetist. Hopefully I’ll get a date for the operation but who knows. Not sure how long I’ll be in Perth, want to see my family and a couple of friends.
Behave yerselves. ![]()
Morning. Rox I usually keep my phone in my bag but took it out to give them my e mail address… Best wishes for your pre op scans and the Surgeon. Hair and nails for me today then a trip to the shops for bread and a few other things.
Good afternoon Folks,a mild but wet one here,
Just back from the Co-op and My shoppping came to around £19 but when I got to the checkout I was told they weren’t accepting cards so cash only, had around £15 in My wee change purse,so had to give back some stuff…it was the same in the rest of the complex,Boots/Dentists/Opticians/Greggs and a few other wee shops…These Cyber attacks are becoming more frequent so what the hell is this shit Government doing about it I wonder ![]()
I hope all goes well for you on Friday Rox and you get everything sorted out.
Fingers and legs crossed for you for Friday Roxy … it’ll all be worth it when it’s over.
@May … I’m a dinosaur and get funny looks all the time in the local supermarket for still using cash.
And Smart phone? What’s one of them?
I always use cash when I can, I don’t want to lose it. IMO, cards are traceable, it doesn’t matter what you do, the government and the DHSS will know about it. No Thanks, cash is freedom, my life is none of their business.
Sometimes I use cash and other times my bank card.
The only time I use cash is for the window cleaner,
With many functions of government farmed out, the information held on us is spread thinly across a myriad of agencies and offices.
If you drive a car, commit a crime, pay taxes, claim benefits, apply for a passport, buy a house, marry, have children, die, or register to vote you are slowly dripping titbits into the UK’s information pot.
No matter if You decide to use a debit/credit card or withdraw cash from the bank to pay for Your purchases,Methinks the Gov’ will know about it…there’s no hiding place from Them. ![]()
Crossing My fingers for You on Friday Rox,xx
Afternoon. Rox hope all goes well for you on Friday. Catching up on housework while waiting on the new washing being delivered. Then going round to my nieces later.
Good morning People!..it’s a fine sunny one here so off for a gallivant into Town with My Daughter,
Have a good Friday All,x
Afternoon. Cold and sunny here today . Dog sitting for my niece today so staying home for a change. Going to the hairdressers later.
Enjoy ! We also have professional hair dresser but she comes to us and a couple friends come here too. It’s convenient. There is a wee story to that - the Covits. We stopped going to the hairdryers and just kept the one local lady. Of course we ensured that knew her validity. And that has worked a treat !!
Bo I’ve been going to this hairdresser for more than forty years. So I trust here completely. I’m still fit enough to walk round to her salon,
Yes, I can understand that, What changed for us was around the time we were moving with my eye problems, the new house and the Covits. All too much.
Afternoon everybody.
Good Morning Each,It’s a cold, murky, misty, horrible one here so I’m staying put,
Had My Winter jabs yesterday in the local Church hall,no after effects, just a wee painless prick in each arm ![]()
See Ye A’ later,x
Evening all … I had my flu jab last week so that’s that outta the way.
Today I trotted to the shops and came back with doughnuts …bliss … the weather is a tad grim and grizzly and depressing isn’t it. I can’t wait till Spring.
Morning, Not bad here Sun’s out and the winds more a breeze
Been to the pool and drank my latte at the beach, missed the ocean while I was away.
Met the surgeon and had another scan, seems I’ll be ok for keyhole surgery but I’m to be awake for the operation
go in on the 13th of November and the operations the next day.
Finding the hospital and then getting parked was a nightmare, I’d never have found it on my own.
Away to get the washing done, then out on the ropes.
