Lovely breakfast. Just going to have a small power nap (the fresh air is a killer!) before venturing out for a few hours.
Turns out that I did that thing of not paying attention and my wife has explained that it isn’t a wedding, since they are already married, but a celebratory party that we’re attending. New one on me, but I’ll go to anything for a few free drinks and nibbles 
I’m going to wear my hearing aids today (I rarely do nowadays), since I have discovered that the accent round here is a bit hard to follow. So, my hearing aids should give me a bit of protection from seeming rude while I just stare blankly at people when they speak to me. 
Morning, Dry and Sunny here but the temperature is dropping daily. We finished off the garden tidy up and pruning, then Dunc gave the grass a last cut while I cleaned the greenhouse, washed the pots n saucers, cleaned all the tools, and that’s me done for the day. 
Dex if you think the airs too fresh in Aberdeen you better not come any further north or it’ll floor you, 
it took me ages to get used to it, still wipes me out when we did an all day Hill hike with Dageus.
Forum sloth reporting in … my, aren’t you a busy lot. I’ve done absolutely zilch, nada, nothing … cos I’m lazy.
Och, the noo ! And I am lazy too - but I have an excuse. I fell badly a couple of weeks ago but improving.

Good to hear it, these things take time … nothing worse than been incapacitated or incarcerated.
Thinking about you all because I just spent the week staring out at a portion of the Atlantic that is headed smack dab your way via the Gulf Stream. I floated a pineapple cake your way; let me know if it arrives in good condition.
Roxy, I am glad to read that you have knee surgery on the books and that it will not be terribly invasive. Hopefully you’ll have pain-free range of motion in no time. How are you managing to get so much done in the meantime?

You misunderstood (no doubt due to my male failings ).
The couple got married in their back garden around 2 months ago, with only the parents in attendance afaik. The wedding party etc is thus, obviously, being held today. In fact, we’re setting off now.

Oh heavens, Rox. I am so sorry! I hope you can get this out of he way quickly and get back to doing the things you love. Dex is right. I’ve a cardiologist who does all sorts of procedures and he says the vast majority of his patients will outlive him.

Another lovely breakfast. Mrs Dex is packing things up ready for our drive home. This means that it’s best that I lie on the bed and keep out of her way, occasionally asking if she wants me to do anything and immediately dealing with any requests.
You might find I’ll be on this site a bit more for a couple of weeks as I’m avoiding another couple for a bit for reasons one or two might be able to guess

Morning All, Wet n miserable here today, might head over to The Front later with my latte, need to pop into Tesco for a few things. Apart from that nothings planned, just a quiet day in front of the fire. Didn’t even go out for dinner last night was too tired.
