Over 50's Club Scotland (Part 1)

Good afternoon raining here as well. Niece phoned to ask if it was ok to go tomorrow. Her dad is just out of Hospital after a Hip replacement, so she is looking after him at the moment. Got some more unpacking done and put other stuff away. May your a wee star helping your neighbours out. As for Independence I don’t think we’ll see it in our lifetime.

Afternoon, Raining hard again and the grounds getting soggy, hate that. Had my hair cut earlier, not too short still below my shoulders so I can put it up. But it feels strange. :slightly_frowning_face:
Went to the pool but wasn’t in the mood to swim but enjoyed the steam room with the Eucalyptus in the vents, fair cleared my tubes for me, then a long soak in the hot bubbles.
Waiting on Dunc coming in as he can’t do much in this weather.

Morning all. Survived the MRI although I really didn’t like it. I was ok going onto the table and the donut thing but when they pulled down a thing like an American footballers helmet on my head I nearly did a runner… The guy put his had through to show it was open at the front but it was scary and noisy. Think it was because it was only my head being scanned that I needed the helmet to keep it in place, Got straight into my jammies when I got home and then I ate all night! Anyway back to normal today. Need to get some more cleaning done but am becoming more lazy every day.
Enjoy your weekend everyone.

Hi Bonnie Ive also had MRI and not a nice experience I got the whole scan, they played some music that you can hardly hear with the noise. Weekend weather is bad for us so just as well Ive no plans
Have a nice one anyway

Good afternoon. Jean I had an MRI scan a few years ago, it was the optician who recommended it. It was noisy and they played music all through it, I was lucky I didn’t have anything wrong with me. Libby took me to get the blind today and two doormats. Went to see Jean today after thehairdressers, then did a bit more shopping.

Evenin’ All,not like Me to have the laptop open at this time o’ night…but…the tele’ is crap and I still can’t read a book comfortably as the sight in both eyes are different since the op’,
So…thought I’d have a wee look see at what’s happening on here…not a lot, sadly…I remember in the old OFF there would be lots of fun threads on a Friday/Sat night…what happened?

I’m now demure. Responsible. Conscientious. Mature.

Good morning. I agree with you May TV, is rotten at the moment all this football. Not sure what I’m getting up today, shopping or staying home, I’ll see how I feel later.

May is totally correct, tv is rotten. TV is now very sterile and everyone now is terrified to offend someone
My Friday viewing is a night with Jack and Victor, no many times I watch them I laugh just as loud
Have a nice weekend
Still game Series 6 Episode 9 christmas Special Plum Number - YouTube

Caveman I still sometimes watch Still Game. One of my younger nephews used to appear on it, just walk on parts. Just went to one of the local shops in Renfrew today, have enough fod in to keep me going.

Evening All,a wet one here and it’s been like it all day,
Just been watching Dr Zhivago on TV,I’ve seen it before but I watched it all through this time…there was so much snow & ice that I had to turn My heating up as I was freezing
Love 'Still Game and watch all the reruns and still laugh every time,
You’re right about some things one is not allowed to say Caveman…I’ve been castigated for using the word ‘eejit’ on 'ere …so…I’m taking a time - out to get over it :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:
See Ya All Soon.xx

Evening all. Dr Zhivago is one of my all time favourite films, May. I didn’t know it was on. Was cleaning the kitchen all afternoon pulling out the cooker and cleaning inside all the cupboards. I am done in so ordering in fish and chips now. Well fish and fritters anyway.
Was it Joseph who was in Still Game , Jess?
I am just having a wee red wine waiting for my dinner to arrive.
Enjoy your weekend everyone.

Good morning. I remember going to the cinema to see Dr. Zhivago, loved it and always Julie Christie in films. May enjoy your jail time. Yes Jean it was Joseph who was in Still Game and a few other programmes. I love fritters with lots of salt and vinegar. Housework today and a trip to Braehead for some shopping, I know it will be busy over there.

Morning, Woke early and couldn’t get back to sleep, so as it was just getting light I took The Hairy One for his walk. I went to Dunnet Forest and spent a lot of time in fits of laughter, lots of bunnies out looking for their breakfast and a most surprised Hairy One didn’t know what to make of them. He decided to have a play chase and they ran him ragged. :joy: :joy: :joy:
No plans for the day, just a quiet Sunday, enjoy your day folks.

Morning all. Cutting back the ivy on my back fence. Then finishing off the kitchen. Having a big breakfast for energy!
I loved Julie Christie too Jess. I bought a big black coat hat scarf and gloves after Dr zhivago .
I can just imagine the fun you had watching the hairy one this morning. We have a lot of squirrels round here and they used to taunt Wee Bonnie. One used to come to the front window and face up to her. She was so angry with it thought her barking might crack the glassLol !

Go May. :joy:  :joy:

Haven’t seen any squirrels here Rox and Jean. Plenty of birds and even a fox, one of the times I came to view the house it jumped over the wall to next door. May I would do some pruning but the garden waste bin is full, been like that since I moved in. It’s full to the gunnels with earth so I’m emptying some of it using a spade.
