Over 50's Club Scotland (Part 1)

Yes I moved out of Largs, it was getting to much travelling up and down to Glasgow. I’ve to Renfrew where I’m nearer family and friends.

Know what you mean Jess, my family and friends are down in and around Perth. It’s a 5.1/2 hour drive to get back there to see and spend time with them all, I never used to bother, just hopped in the car and went. These days the thought of that long drive is not so nice, I know it will wipe me out and I’ll fall into bed as soon as I get there, aching in all my joints, also I won’t do it overnight anymore, I like to see everything by daylight and not be blinded by the huge artics coming up the A9.
But I miss the ocean terribly when I’m down there, sometimes I drive over to the wee beach at St Andrews for Dageus’s walk, along with my one cup flask of coffee for afterwards.

Rox its nice being nearer them and also the shops, without an hour and half bus trip there and back. I hated driving in the dark as well, don’t think I could go back to it.

Morning, Boy was it cold overnight, had to scrape the ice off the car before I left for the pool. :sob:
Walked The Hairy One and went to the shop, now I’m home for the rest of the day. Planning to catch up on a bit of knitting after lunch and will look out an audio book to listen to as well.
Enjoy your day.

Good evening, met up with my Monday friends today the first time for a while. Had a good chat and caught up with everything that has been happening to them. Caveman no doubt I will be back down for fish and chips and ice cream in the summer time. Great photos as usual.

Good afternoon, sunny here but cold. Put the washing machine and it seems to have stuck on the programme. Niece is coming round so I’ll ask her to look at it. Hairdressers and nails for me this afternoon.

Good Afternoon all. Quiet on here just now. Everyone probably really busy at this time of year.
Going to meet a friend at a local restaurant for a meal. Meeting at 4 so can have an early dinner.
Weather is cold but sunny here. Have a good day.

Afternoon, Dry but cold here, my teeth have been rattling all morning. Had my swim, walked the Hairy One and been to the shops. Am heading over to the stable after lunch for a bit of a tidy up and some clydie brushing.
Caveman we get daft tourists charging into the ocean at Dunnet, they charge out again too in a hurry as it’s freezing. This was last month, he was determind to have a swim, I was talking to his wife who was holding his clothes while the daft scunner took a dip, he came out very blue and shivering.
Have a good day all.

Jean enjoy your dinner, that’s why I like eating out saves me cooking. Rox it takes me all my time to swim in the pool on holiday. Libby cleaned out the filter, but had a wee bit of a flood, glad to have her as my niece.

We lived round the corner from the swimming bathes when I was tiny, also my mum worked there, she had all us kids taught to swim very early on, me before I even went to school. Swimming has become part of who I am and I don’t feel right when I don’t do it. Kind of sets me up for the day. I only swim in the pool though, not a fan of wild swimming, though I did used to swim in the outdoor pool at St Andrews when it was in use

Rox I always went to the swimming baths when I was young, I learned to swim about twelve in high school. Last time I tried to swim I almost drowned in the pool. Heavy showers here this morning. my niece took me to Largs to pick up a few more things, including my tumble dryer and rubbish for the dump.

First time in a long time got to get to dentist and seems a long time since we heard the virus word again and slowly getting back to normal
On pic the other day was quite funny the guys in swimming on shorts but put a woolly bunnet on
weather yesterday was fab for November

Afternoon All, Cold here again with the wind going right through me. Winter is getting it’s butt settled in for the haul.
Those pics look like a spring day cavie,
Not done much today just faffed about doing this n that around the place.

Good evening all. Lovely pictures Caveman.
Heavy rain here too Jess. Got soaked going to Hairmyres hospital for my second hearing aid. Hope it will help. Going to the Golden Jubilee tomorrow for an MRI scan. My Son is taking me as it is quite hard to get to from my place. This has been really quick only a few weeks. Bit apprehensive but a few friends who have had it say it is not as bad as it sounds.
Fingers crossed it will be ok.

Bonnie, I had an MRI Scan 5 years ago for gall stones. I was terrified as I’m very claustrophobic, The nurse offered me some great advice that I 'll share with you.
Get them to take away the head pillow, arch your neck back and look at the wall behind you. It really worked for me not seeing the machine. Hope this will help you too.

Good morning. Great photos, caveman. Rox it was cold here yesterday as well. Jean best wishes for the MRI scan, it is quite a hard hospital to get in Clydebank. Some housework and going for a kitchen blind later in the afternoon.

Yes it was a foregone conclusion, after all that supreme Court is in England, in London and Parliament Sq. Home of the Unionist Parties.
It was never going to happen and herself should really have known that. IMO of course.
I don’t like this idea of the next election being all about independence, doesn’t seem right, again IMO only. There is more to think about and do as well as Indy.
