Over 50's Club Scotland (Part 1)

Wow,funny You should mention The Drovers Inn as My Youngest Daughter & SIL have just left to spend the night there for Their 21st Wedding anniversary before going further North for the weekend…I’ve eaten there many times but never spent the night.

It’s absolutely freezing here tonight so I’m guessing it’s even more so where You are Rox.

ooooops,I see in My last post I called You Twix instead of Twink, heh heh…must have been thinking about choccy biscuits,
:yum:

Lovely photo Rox.
I now have a little tradition that, if we pass the Drovers Inn, I must go in for a drink.
Breakfast there was great, but I couldn’t eat it all owing to a slight hangover!
I am feeling like a Scottish lass knowing that some of you have been there too. :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

Good morning, raining here at the moment. Took some plastic boxes out to the garage last night to make it easier next Sunday. Hope the rain lets up so I can get out with a few more bags and some shopping. Twinks never had breakfast at the Drovers it was lunch.

Good morning Jessie & All,rain rain rain here too but no plans to go gallivanting…won’t be getting any visitors so I think I’ll just have a kaftan day as the auld arthritas is playing up,
Have a good weekend Folks,xx

I am not surprised May, after cleaning all the skirting boards! Just put your feet up and relax today.

Good morning all. Same story here wet wet wet! Going for rolls and my paper. Then my Son is going to reseal the bath for me. It is all mouldy at the moment. He says it is a one man job so I will be supplying the tea, lunch and dinner and be his gofor.
I was hoping to get the outside cleared up this weekend too but not dry enough. Need to cut back a climbing rose which is tapping the window when it is windy. Also ivy needs cut.
Have a good weekend.

Rain seems to be stopping here. May I enjoy a jammie day when I don’t have to go out. Jean I should try and tidy up the garden, but I can’t be bothered would love a bacon roll. Off to put some stuff in the dryer.

Afternoon, I was up really early so I took the hairy one to the beach just as it was getting light and it was still dry. Glad I did as it’s been pouring down for a few hours now. Had a good hot shower when I got back and it warmed me up fine. Himself is down in Inverness today with some of the other farmers, they are at some meeting or other with the NFU, so I’m also in jammies and curled up at the fire having a lazy day.

Evenin’ All,it’s almost dark already and I’ve done nothing except make a large pot of Bolognese sauce with the rest of the red wine which was left from a couple of days ago,so I’ll have that with garlic bread for My dinner tonight and freeze the rest,
Hope the bath grouting was successful Bonnie…I haven’t had a bath for 19 yrs since the one in My old house was so deep,I could get into it…but couldn’t gerrout again..so walk-in shower now.
Hope You all had a good restful day.xx

Evening all. He did well May. I just have a bath with overhead shower.
Made him a nice steak dinner as a thank you. So having a couple of glasses of Malbec as well, mindful of your daughter saying it is good for our health!
I drank red wine for years then went onto white but last couple of years back to red.
Enjoy your Saturday everybody.

Good morning. May your dinner last night sounds delicous.Love Italian food and garlic bread. Jean well done to your son on grouting the bath tub. I usually drink white wine but the other night had some Rose which wasn’t to bad.More packing today and then a trip to the shops later.

Miserable day here too. Plus Scottish water are digging up,outside the house. Noise is deafening.
Washing and ironing for me today. Don’t think I will be venturing anywhere in this weather.
Hope all goes well at the optician May. Keep up the good work Jess!

Morning, Filthy day here, non stop rain both myself and The Hairy One got soaked on our walk. Back home and that’s me in for the rest of the day. My wool arrived from Ebay earlier and I’m going to knit a thick warm house cardigan for the winter. This pattern and colour but not so long, just past the bum will be fine.

Good afternoon. May well done on the good result on your eye, you’ll feel better wearing some makeup. Jean hope the workmen aren’t there to long. Rox love that colour, its years since I knitted anything for myself. More packing done and my niece made all the phone calls to the different ones to change my address.

Rox that looks a really good bum warmer. Wish I knew where there was a knitting group. Would love to start again but quite often need a wee bit help.
