Over 50's Club Scotland (Part 1)

Morning, Beautiful day here, so nice in fact that Himself is taking the afternoon off and we are heading away out with the horses for a few hours. Not sure where yet either the hills, beach, or the forest.
Got the Slow Cooker on, doing beef n onions to be served with boiled in the bag white rice, so thats tonight’s diner quickly sorted when we get back. :grinning: :grinning:

Good morning, dry here at the moment. Rox enjoy your afternoon on the horses. Off into town later for a few bits and pieces that I need.

An almost empty Thurso Beach this afternoon.

Good morning everybody. Raining here after a lovely sunny day yesterday. Went to Glasgow yesterday and all the runners in the Marathon were walking aroud with their medals. Meeting friends later for coffee and a chat. Rox great photo of the beach, with the colour of the sky it could be abroad somewhere.

Evening, not had a great day, went to the pool as usual but only did half of my usual lengths then left and came home. Let Dageus out then went to bed and slept till lunch time. Not eaten at all as I feel so queasy, just on the water. Feel like I’ve a knot inside me and last time I felt like this it was gall stones. I went through hell 6 years ago with them and had 2 stays in hospital, don’t think I can handle that again.

Good evening everybody. Rox sorry to hear your not feeling well, hope it eases soon. Met up with my friends today and had a good old chat. Starting to rain here at least it stayed dry all day.

Rox just drink for the rest of the day & start tomorrow with small light snacks, like poached fish and dry bread. smoked haddock or poached egg is good. If you still feel ill try to speak to a doctor.
Hope you feel better soon!
My sister went through hell with gall stones, so they removed her gall bladder. They also found a benign tumour on her liver when they did a scan, but they feed on oestrogen, and it disappeared within 18 months owing to her age.

Ok so I’m not really into the RF, but this grin of Charles made me smile. He is obviously loving being in Scotland. (even if he does look like a 9 year old pulling legs off beetles)

Nice to see Nicola giving him a welcome as well.

I still have my gall bladder as I refused to let them take it out last time. The head Anaesthetist came to me after my last operation and told me I almost died and advised that I Never be put fully under again, she said a lot of operations can be done with the patient awake. The Doctor who wanted to take out my gall bladder refused to keep me awake and would not listen to me, so I refused to let her operate on me.
Taking things easy for a few days, no pool but will have to take the poor Hairy One out as he never got to go yesterday.

Good morning. Rox that must have been a horrible experince for you with the op, and you know yourself how to handle it. Twinks glad your sister is ok. Pixie seen Charles on the news last night. Raining here this morning and I’m off to the hairdressers, was supposed to go for a massage but cancelled as I’ve got the cold.

I was surprised at the boos that greeted Nicola when she first arrived. I hope you feel better soon Rox.

Thanks Scot, I was surprised as well. Wonder what she’s done to upset folks. I don’t care what people think of her but that lady has her head properly screwed on, unlike some I could mention. :smirk:

Morning, Wild n Windy again this morning…Sigh. Got the Chiropractor in 30 minutes then I will get my swim, hopefully it won’t be busy. After that it’s Tesco on the way home then out with The Hairy One. Might just get around to coffee n toast after that. Jobs around the house this afternoon.
Have a nice day.

Good morning. Nice and calm here at the moment, hope it stays like that. Another visit to the Charity shop today, and some housework. Also clear out some more cupboards and clothes.

Good Morning Each,it’s a wet n windy one here and I was up with the Lark for Hosp’ appt’ to get the stitches removed from My eye,all went well…no pain…but a scratch was found in the eye and that’s what’s been causing the conjunctivitas…antibiotic ointment to be applied 4 times a day as well as more drops…then have to go back again in a weeks time…Do I sound pissed off?..You betcha :grimacing:…Think I’ll be having a few glasses of wine with My dinner tonight to calm Me down, or maybe I’ll have a screaming tantrum…many years since I’ve had one of those :innocent:

Good afternoon, sun has come out after some heavy rain here. May sorry to hear about the scratch on your eye, that’s annoying but hope the ointment and eyedrops will do the trick. Off to the Theatre this evening to see Sunshine on Leith, looking forward to it as I loved the film. Meeting up with some of the others for a drink before we go.
