Over 50's Club Scotland (Part 1)

We’re getting both done on the same day Scot, one on each arm same as last Winter.

Not heard peep about booster jags. When I go to Edinburgh I head straight to Cockburn Street, I love those wee shops and the unusual stuff they sell.

Edinburgh’s Old Town is great. I’m hoping to get a few pics if we go for lunch.

Morning all. Great to see so many posts on here. Lovely day again. Hope everything goes well for The hairy one, Rox. Let us know how he gets on.
No word about a booster for me yet. Last year I got it with the flu jab.
Have a good day everyone.

Good morning Bonnie & all, another fine sunny one here but haven’t decided what I’m doing for the rest of the day yet,
Had a wee spending spree yesterday with the paper notes I had in My purse since lockdown…they’re no longer any use by the end of this Month…funny,it felt odd using money again as I’ve been so used to contactless payments the past couple of years, lol,…so…if any of You have a stash hidden under Your mattress better get 'em spent or exchanged at the bank

Hope Daegus comes through ok after His op’ Rox,
Have a good day Folks,x

Morning Scotland! Its a chilly one today, all misty and Autumnal. The Edinburgh trip was postponed last minute, which is annoying, but hey ho, I have the day to myself I suppose.

I haven’t had the flu jag yet…I need to pay for it. Wonder if the price for that has gone up along with everything else

Hope you all enjoy your day

That’s because You’re not 75 + Jean,

Good morning. Pixie sorry to hear your Edinburgh trip has been delayed. Rox hope everything goes well today for the Hairy one. May I think we’ve all got used to paying by contactless cards, I still like some money in my purse for different things. Jean I’ve not heard anything about a booster or flu jab either. My last booster was four months ago. Supposed to be really warm here again today, off to the knit and natter group later.

Well that’s Dageus at the Vet for his operation. He’s really upset and the nurses had a hell of a job getting him downstairs to the holding pens. He saw I wasn’t coming and he dug the heels in hard. Heaven knows how he’s feeling towards me at the moment. I have deserted him and he’s in a cage. Poor Boy I feel terrible for him.

He’ll be fine and will be delighted to see you once he is pain free and awake. It’s a horrible feeling leaving them there, but he’ll forget as soon as he sees you again. Are you picking him up later or is it an overnight stay?

Vet will phone me after the op and let me know what’s to happen. I hope he can come home today. I think it will help him to know he’s back home and feel safe to sleep.

Rox, he will be fine, once he sees you.

Mine went in last year for dental work, and came home in the evening. I think they like to make sure the anesthetic has worn off completely so the dog is fully alert. Bear in mind that Dageus might not be able to bark for a couple of days due to the tube that was in his throat. I was naughty and made up some honey & water for a soothing drink.

I’m sure Dageus will be fine Rox. A case of being cruel to be kind sort of thing.

You are right May I was a bit later than my neighbours last year too. I am 72 and have not to have any more birthdays according to my wee granddaughter Sophie who is only 6. Her best friend’s Granny died recently and the wee soul is frightened I am next. She asked her Mum if I could live til 200! But now her plan is that I don’t have any more birthdays and just stay 72! Suits me ! Lol :joy:

Got another letter from NHS with a date for the cataract surgery on the 22nd of this Month…so I won’t be able to take up the booster/flu jag and will have to rearrange it.
I know how Dageus feels Rox as I too may need to be dragged in for the surgery…not looking forward to it.

Nurse just phoned, he had 3 teeth out. OMG 3. Poor thing, they were only talking about the one.
He’s awake but not very happy, we are both going in at 4.20pm to have a talk with the vet then take him home.
