Over 50's Club Scotland (Part 1)

Good afternoon Folks,a windy chilly one here but I’m not going anywhere as I bit off more than I could chew Yesterday
while shopping in Town, result is very painful joints today so I’m just on the sofa now reading/watching TV…fed up!..The Forum isn’t interesting Me either so I’m opting out for a while until My old positive Self returns…see Ya,x

Afternoon, Started off fine this morning and now it’s raining again, got about an hour out in the garden so I don’t feel too bad. Looks like it’s in the day room with my jigsaw and audio book for most of the afternoon, as I’m all caught up with the rest of my jobs. Hope your feeling better soon May.

The Binmen’s strike dates.

Evening All,Auld misery guts signing in again
Have My positive head on again and have had a good day
walking and gallivanting around Town…This Arthritas is a weird disease, some days I can walk for a couple of miles without too much pain, other days it just wipes Me out and I can barely hobble around the house…so…feeling good today and decided I’ll have a glass or two of wine with My Spag’ Bol’ & garlic bread…luvly jubly,
Hope all are in fine fettle,xx

I’m just ignoring all the bad news about strikes etc’,will deal with it when/if it happens,

Hi May, Glad your feeling a bit better. Like you I’m sick of all the discontent and strikes just now, everyone seems to be in a bad mood. This bin strike is going ahead though, it’s already started in Edinburgh and the rest follow next week.
Your right about Arthritas, I have it in my hands, some days it doesn’t bother me and others it’s hellish sore.
Not gone far today, The Hairy One is not right and I worry if/when he’s out of sorts.

Aww,hope He’ll be ok Rox…Dogs are a bit like Us I think,They can have good & bad days too,x fingers it’s nothing to worry about,x

Thanks, I really hope so too. Usually if he’s not well it’s because the wee begger’s gobbled up something without me seeing him. But he’s not sick nor has he got the runs. He’s just lying sleeping on the floor, not interested in anything at all, he’s not looked at his toys for 2 days… Very unusual for him. Sometimes definitely not right with him.

Afternoon all. Hope your dog is ok Rox. It is such a worry when they are poorly as they can’t tell you what is wrong with them.
Turned out nice here after a horrible wet windy morning. Went to Chiropodist and hairdresser so all sorted head to toe now. Getting my hearing aid on Monday so will be a whole new woman I hope!
Enjoy your Saturday all.

Rox, I hope The Hairy One is OK. We care for our pets as much as we care for children and, having lost one of my cats this week , I know how worried you must be. I am hoping to get a message to tell us he is feeling better soon.

Afternoon, Not too bad weather wise, sun n showers. Took The Hairy One to the forest first thing and he was doing the doggie thing, snuffling about and checking everything. But as soon as we got home he went back to being quiet and just not right… It’s weird. Dunc thinks his age has caught up with him at last, and he’s certainly acting like a old dog. Still eating and drinking but not as much as he was, also having to help him into the tailgate of the car.

We all get old & can’t do what we used to , so let’s just hope it is nothing more serious than old age that is slowing him down. A vet told me that the hot weather has made a lot of pets suffer, but a lot of them can get better . Keeping my fingers crossed! :crossed_fingers:

I may have to take him to the vet on Monday, get him checked over, if he doesn’t improve tomorrow.

Fingers crossed Rox. Hope he will be ok .

Afternoon Each, turned out to be a nice sunny warmish one,so cut the grass back/sides & front before the binmen go on strike next week…garden bin is emptied Tomorrow…
I also have a dental checkup in the afternoon, not looking forward to that as I think I’ll need some work done…fillings,
or a dreaded extraction…eek!..it’s about 4 or more years since I’ve been,
enjoy the rest of the day All,xx

Hi

An extraction?

No thanks, the mere thought of it is horrible and I am on loads of morphine at the moment.

Oh I know SF…I’m very jittery…but…I’m more jittery about getting toothache, lol

Morning, Vet today at 11.30. dreading it.

Good morning Rox and I hope all goes well at the vets,x

I’m feeling very nervous about My dentist app’t.don’t know why as I’ve never been anxious in the 40+ years I’ve been going there…bloody lockdowns have a lot to answer for :unamused:

I’m always jittery about dentists May, even just a check up.

Well Dageus has to have surgery and goes in for an operation on the 1st of Sept. In the mean time he’s on a high dose of anti inflammatory tablets, along side pain killers for ten days. It’s the tooth/gum at the very back of his mouth, vet also thinks there may be a bit of an absess there as well. Poor Dageus.
It cost me £110 this morning and I asked for a breakdown of what’s to come, have a look at the list. I could weep, but it’s for my boy.

Awww…poor old Dageus,He must be in a lot of pain if He has an abcess…now You’re the one in pain with the bill Rox, :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:
The vets charges are about the same as the Dentists,
and I’m over the moon I didn’t need anything done except a scale & polish in 6 weeks time…woohoo…Having a party in My mouth later
