Over 50's Club Scotland (Part 1)

I assume Dageus is The Hairy One Rox ! I am pleased that you have managed to find what was making him ill & the vet can treat it, because I hurts when you see them in pain.
Lets hope he is back to normal by early September!

Good morning Each,a mild one here so far but rain expected later, off to Tesco shopping after shower & breakfastā€¦have a good day All,x

Morning, Been raining most of the night and still is. Just getting ready to go for my swim. Dageus is asleep on the sofa and has had his pills so Iā€™m taking the chance to return to the pool, there is nothing more I can do for him anyway. Dunc says heā€™ll pop in and check him a few times as heā€™s working near the house today.
Got messages to get after my swim so into Tesco when I leave the pool. Will walk The Hairy One around 10am and catch up on jobs in the house this afternoon.

Morning all damp dreich day here so far. Going to get some rolls etc this morning. Gas board coming between 12 and 6 pm to do my annual service.
Poor Dageus hope the pills are helping him. An abscess is a really painful, thing.
I am trying to get used to my hearing aid. The rain was falling on my hood yesterday felt like hailstones. The whole world seemed really noisy. Will persevere though as I was withdrawing from a lot of things as I couldnā€™t hear what was being said.
Enjoy your day everyone.

Hiya Jean, can Ye hear Me now :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:
My Darlin Mum wore an old fashioned hearing aid as She got older, and She used to switch it off when My Dad was nattering,Sheā€™d nod Her head now & then and got on with Her knittingā€¦He soon twigged and would break Her wool so Sheā€™d have to pay Him attention, lol,ā€¦They did make Us laugh.
Itā€™s My eyes that are the problem,I was tooted from Someones car when leaving the Aveā€™,then Someone waved to Me from across the roadā€¦Havenā€™t a clue who They were

Good morning everybody. Got home last night and my niece Libby brought me home, was going to stay overnight but she said no problemo and brought me home. Just woke up about half an hour ago. Rox sorry to hear about Daegus being ill, poor boy hope the painkillers are helping him. May I think most of our mothers turned themselves off at times. Jean hope your getting used to the hearing aid. Had a lovely time on holiday, lots of sunshine and shopping. Visited my cousins daughter and had a bbq, lovely to see her and her husband and daughters. Suitcase waiting to be unpacked and the washing done.

Hi Jess nice to see back safe and sound. Glad you enjoyed your holiday.
Hear you May lol. They said up the hospital because I lost hearing so gradually it will be a shock to have some of it restored. Plumped for one hearing aid to start and will get the other one later.
Gas man still not here. Outside we have pavement getting repaired and Scottish water digging as well there are trucks and diggers everywhere. The noise is deafening. Time to take out my hearing aid just to do 5 hours a day to get used it.

Thanks for the welcome home Jean. I suppose it will be strange hearing noises again, after a hearing loss. Off to the pub tonight, just hope I donā€™t fall asleep when Iā€™m there.

Morning, Gaaaa, More rain today, at least itā€™s driving the tourists in those huge motor homes back home and the roads are freeing up again. The carpark at the beach was empty when I passed a wee while ago. :ok_hand: Done my swim, walked with The Hairy One who is starting to take a wee bit of interest in things again, been to my Chiropractor and popped into the village shop. Just got the greenhouse to check and pick any tomatoes that are ready, along with watering. Afternoon of audio book and jigsaw I think.
Good to see you back Jess.

Morning all.
Glad to hear your dog seems a bit better, Rox.
Going to do my Grandchildren watching today. Used to be able to leave my house about 2-15 to get up for 3pm now need to leave just after 1 pm as the buses are so bad. Get 2 buses journey time is 20 mins in total but can wait 40 mins easily and service I supposed to be every 10 mins. Rant over! Lol
Enjoy your day sun is peeping through here.

Afternoon All,rain has stopped so bedding out on the line,

I know what You mean about the buses Jean as I waited almost an hour the other day for a first bus, they used to arrive every 10 minā€™sā€¦Where have all the drivers gone?..My paper bin didnā€™t get emptied on Monday as the drivers were used for School busesā€¦a sign of things to come!

Good afternoon. Went to Tesco in Greenock today for some shopping. Rox glad to hear that Daegus is a bit better today. Donā€™t know about First bus, we have McGills here and they are quite regular. Got a washing out so hope it dries out on the line.

Good morning Each,a dull grey cloudy one here so didnā€™t go for a walkā€¦In a lazy mood this morning so just got a pot of lentil & ham soup cooking on the stove, then Iā€™ll settle down with My book,
Have a good one Folksā€¦(Donā€™t let the eejits grind You down Rox) x

Good morning, grey skies here at the moment hope they disappear. Hairdressers for me then some food shopping at Braehead.

Good morning grey skies here too Jess. Hope it brightens as I have a lot of washing. Where does it all come from?
Housework for me then Sainsburys for big shop, exciting eh!
Even though I am retired .Friday always feels different somehow better. Roll on the weekend.
Enjoy your day everyone.

Morning, Woke again toā€¦Guess What? :cloud_with_rain: :cloud_with_rain: Went for my swim and been for the messages, Bit of a tidy up in the greenhouse after lunch and if the rain stops then Iā€™ll do a bit of weeding as the groundā€™s soft.
May I think Iā€™m extra touchy just now as Iā€™m stressed out over The Hairy One. :flushed:

Evening. Did some food shopping and met the nieces for lunch, their treat. They dropped me off at the hairdressers, then picked me up and brought me home.

Good morning, blue skies hare at the moment. Its the start of the Viking Festival here today, so will walk down later to see whatā€™s happening. Just going to have some breakfast then hang out the washing.

Good Morning, Jess I didnā€™t know you had Viking Festivals in your area. We do in mid winter, itā€™s similar to ā€œUp Hell aaā€ on Shetland. We call it ā€œDa Doonieā€ I love it the atmosphere is wonderful, and the whole town and surrounding villages come together to enjoy the day/evening, ending with the torchlight parade and boat burning.
Grey and misty this morning but no rain, Stable duties for me today and we are out for dinner tonight, as The Hairy One is well enough to be left for a couple of hours.

Hi Rox, didnā€™t know you had a Viking Festival as well. Ours starts with a parade and there is a Viking Village with people dressed up as Vikings. It lasts for a week, then they have a pretend battle ending with a long boat being set on fire and sent out to sea, It will be busy here anyway with people queueing up for the the Ferry to Cumbrae.
