Over 50's Club Scotland (Part 1)

Good morning everybody. Did some shopping and a bit of housework. A lot drier here this morning after heavy rain and wind last night. Getting a bit fed up with not being able to go anywhere.

Aye, it was wild last night, Jess. If restrictions were lifted tomorrow - where would be the first place you would go? My first place would be daughters flat in Edinburgh, ha!

Hi ladies, it started off nice this morning, but damp and miserable now. Strike’s on telly tonight, I know it’s a repeat, but I like it

Pixie I like Arran and Edinburgh. We’re having a family reunion in June, we’re going to Haven at Ayr. I’m going with my nieces and their families, we used to go every year when my sister was alive. Paula we’ve got the wind and rain back again here. Not sure what I’m going to watch tonight on television.

Morning, Not nice today at all, cold, wet, and very windy. Walked the dog and froze at the same time, hoping I can stay put for the rest of the day…:frowning:

Afternoon…just back from the dentist (again), but thankfully that’s the end of treatment until my 6 month check up. Its wild and windy out so I’m going to potter gently.

Good afternoon ladies. Weather is the same here as well. Got woke up with scam phonecall supposed to be from Amazon. Then another one from my niece to tell me the guy was outside with my new washing machine duh. It didn’t take him long to take the old one out and put the new one in.

Morning from a wet, wild and windy Friday. Tiresome weather, tiresome lockdown, insomnia - oh I’m such a cheery bunny this morning, ha! Got some seed to buy today, but that’s all my plans. Have a lovely day

Good morning ladies. Pixie same weather here but according to my phone it will be a bit drier at two o clock. I’ll probably go out before that for a few things. New machine is a lot quieter than the old one. Looking forward to better weather so I can hang my washing out in the garden.

Morning, Still wet n windy here, getting more than a bit fed up with it now. Winter seems to last so much longer than the summer with nice warm days.
Heading over to Wick and the huge Tesco shortly as it’s time to restock, might take the hairy one and have a wander over to Castle Sinclair Ruins afterwards, taking my tiny thermos and a coffee for when I’m done and will drink it watching the waves crash…Bliss, n soul restoring.

Good afternoon. Cold and sunny earlier then wet and windy. Did my shopping and had a walk. Roxy I’m looking forward to going food shopping in Glasgow for food, Tesco is ok for some things here but there’s not a very big range of food in there.

Jess, If I want a decent choice of shops then I have to drive down to Inverness. Over 100 miles each way. Just not worth it. The Tesco on the outskirts of Wick is really massive and has a grand choice of stuff. When I go home for a while I avoid Tesco there and enjoy wandering around Asda, Morrisions, Aldi, ect. I love George and spend a while in there every Asda visit.

Roxy that is a large store. Ours is an express one, sometimes I catch the bus to Port Glasgow where they have Tesco and M&S among other shops. I like M&S pasta and a few other things.

I went and saw my mum today for the first time since before Xmas. She’s 93 and lives alone and hasn’t seen a soul since her last grocery delivery on 2nd March.

Although she’s in a different area from me, I felt that as restrictions are easing up a bit from today and we’ve both had first vax, I could justify a welfare visit for Mother’s Day.

The roads were quieter than I expected, I must say, a bit like they were 20 years ago!

Oh absolutely, Sue! Go and have a lovely day with your Mum

Good morning ladies. Sue I bet your mum appreciated the visit, it can get boring after a while when you live on your own. Blue skies here but there is also showers. Will get out later for a walk in the afternoon.

Morning, The weather can’t make up it’s mind today, sunny, cloudy then threatening rain. Have got a washing on just hope I can get it on the ropes to dry.
Stable duties for me this afternoon, then a long hot shower and feet up.

Sue, I bet your mum was overjoyed to see you, and you her…it’s a cold day here we’ve had wind rain and hail…then blue sky and sunshine…hope you all have a good day girls

Rain here and then sunshine. Had three of my nieces down and the older two took away my old desktop and desk and chair. The youngest one who is five had her scooter with her but it was raining. So it was a quick and then they went home again.

Evenin’…good day outside today planting seeds and getting a bit muddy. Mostly avoided the spits of rain. Stopped off at a friends for a quick 5 minute catch up and back home. Feels like a normal day for a change
