Pixie, I don’t want to seize up, so I keep walking, just not so far and where I know there’s plenty of places to sit if I need to. As soon as I get back to my swimming again I’ll be fine and hopefully build my fitness back up. I believe it April 26th, so looking forward to that.
I have a large star drawn on that date in my calendar, haha! Jumping on a train asap and walking barefoot in the sand. April showers be damned! ![]()
What Beaches do you go to Pixie?
Largs, Ayr, Troon, mostly…inverkip sometimes too. Away days consist of day trips or overnights round the isle of Bute…love Mull and Iona as well.
All beautiful West Coast places. I belong to Mull spent the first few years of my life there, before we moved to the Mainland to my grandparents huge old house. I only have a few memories of it now and always mean to revisit the island, just never seem to get around to it. When I’m at my own place down in Perth I only use two beaches, St Andrews, “the small beach” and Kinshaldie along the coast…
Oh we went to St Andrews years ago…lovely place. So where you are now…is that like a holiday home?
No it’s my partners place along the top coast from Thurso, I spend most of my time up here on the farm helping out where I can, but mostly look to the two clydesdales and mixing sheep feed ect.
I still have my own house in Perth and I return several times a year to catch up with family and friends.
Wow you have the best of both worlds…Perth is a lovely town too - everyone is so nice and friendly!
I used to know someone in Wick and visited a couple of times, until she moved south for work…I always wanted to jump over to the Orkney Islands for a trip but it never happened. One day maybe ![]()
Good morning ladies. Roxy hope your bruises are going down. Had my niece and daughter down yesterday for a visit. Did any of you watch Darcy Bussel visiting the Scottish islands. Last night she visited Bute. Pixie I stay in Largs and hate it in the summer when all the visitors come down. In fact they are still coming here in spite of lockdown. Looks like the sun is trying to come out so I’ll get out for a walk later.
Afternoon Each, sun doing its best to come out here and not as chilly as it was,
Having prob’s with the arthritas in right wrist/thumb,so will give typing a miss for a few days until it settles down…see Ye A’ soon,x
Jess, I missed that Bute visit on TV - I’ll catch up with it. Its nice to see other folks perspectives. I always avoid Largs in the summer - can’t be doing with all that busy-ness. Its a shame people can’t just abide by the rules…must be a worry for all you people living there. ![]()
May hope your wrist and thumb are better soon. Pixie last year was terrible when we had the good weather, I did my shopping and then sat outside in the garden. Busy again here today they just don’t care. Going to have an early dinner then go for another walk.
Jess…this is the same version of lockdown that happened in March last year isn’t it? I mean, just because you have a car and can drive somewhere, doesn’t mean you should.. I heard someone in the local shop mention they had driven to Fort William the other day because they were bored. I wonder what lifting of the restrictions (mild) the FM will do next week.
Good morning ladies. Not sure what the weather is going to do today. Window cleaner just been so I’ll get some housework done later.
Afternoon everyone. Gosh this day has passed so quickly - I feel I haven’t done much at all. I have hardly been out the door, I know that much. Did an online shopping for tomorrow (lucky me…it comes at 11pm…!). Other than that, nowt. Avoiding the news…too much Meghan, and too much football/political nonsense for me to deal with. Hope you are all enjoying your day, whatever you are doing.
Good evening. I did some dusting upstairs the first for a while. Then met a neighbour and I was chatting to her for a wee while. Pixie I only watch the news at teatime that’s enough for me.
The world has gone banana’s Jess, better not to look
Too much importance placed on the un-important, in my humble opinion.
Good morning ladies, dry here at the moment. Pixie that’s the reason I only watch the news at teatime, its to depressing. Getting ready to go to the shops and then some housework when I get back.
Good afternoon…its very quiet in here - I hope everyone is ok, and just having a lovely day
