Over 50's Club Scotland (Part 1)

Good morning. Snow here this morning it started last night, so not going anywhere. Got a letter in yesterday to go for jury duty. Making soup and housework for me today.

It’s been very frosty all day, blue sky, now it’s cloudy, we got out letters in today for the vaccine, Saturday at the local community centre,…

Paula I’m going tomorrow, its the sports centre. Most of the snow is gone I just hope it doesn’t freeze overninght.

Hello, everyone. I’m new to OFF and struggling to find my way around! I’m in Scotland, too, the beautiful North East, currently under a foot or more of snow.

Good morning. Hi Sue and welcome, good to have someone else to chat to. Snow still lying here but not like yours. Niece coming down later to take me for my jag, I’ll get her to stop at the co for bread and milk.

Hello everybody! I can see sunshine, and am delighted. Feels colder than the reported minus 2, but I’m sure if I get moving around I’ll warm up. Have a great day!

Hi ladies…welcome Sue, it’s bitterly cold here ,blue sky, I have a tin foil dish that I fill with water for the birds, it was frozen this morning, I couldn’t even get the ice out, so I had to fill it with boiling water till it melted,

Morning, Blimey I’ve not seen so much snow here for years, just spent the last couple of hours digging a way out front and back. Also a path for the dog so he can get to the bottom of the garden. Sheeeze hope there’s no more to come.

Thank you for the welcomes!

Cute dog. He doesn’t look hugely impressed by all the snow.

We had a lot more snow last night, too. I shall take a chilly amble down to the nearest post box to post a letter but that’s it for adventures today, I think. At least it’s sunny and bright.

Hi Sue, He was in the huff as I wouldn’t let him in the house all covered with snow, so he retired there and sat glowering at me. :044: :044: :044:
He had a grand time in the snow. Go and look in the Photo Section for more pics.

Good afternoon ladies. Roxy the photo of Daegus made me smile. Had my jag this morning and it was all very well organised from the minute we went in the door till we left. Had to sit down for 15 minutes after it.

That’s great Jess, Glad it all went well. I got a phone call about an hour ago, I go to the GP Surgery next Tuesday at 3.30pm.

Glad were all getting sorted out, goodnight girls

Good Night Paula, well it’s really Good Morning, backs a bit sore so got up for a couple of pain killers and a coffee. No more snow thank Heavens, but it’s blooming freezing out, a real blast of it came in while I let the dog out. Glad I dug that path for him yesterday as he had no snow on him when he came back in.
Hoping to get the car out today as I need to get into town to the Supermarket for stuff. The freezer is ok but need milk and rolls along with soup veg and fruit.
Well ladies have a good day and stay safe if your out n about.

Morning Scottish people! Hope you all made it through a very chilly night. Minus 8 where I am and it looks like I’ll be dancing on ice with the dog today, ugh! Anyway, have a lovely day, and stay warm!

Good morning, missing the wildlife on the river this morning as it’s frozen. Where do all the ducks and swans go I wonder? I’m in a flat but have a sticky on window bird feeder and am delighted that a robin has become a permanent guest along with the tits. They are ignoring the bird seed and filling up on grated cheddar.

Good morning everybody and welcome wildswan. Arm a little bit sore from yesterday but no bad. Still some snow lying here so I think I’ll be staying indoors today.

welcome Wildswan…I usually grate some cheese for the birds, and it’s not long in disappearing, I always buy a cheap white loaf with my groceries, and if I run out of that,I have been known to back them some pancakes, am I crazy

Hello Wildswan, Good to meet you and glad you found our wee corner. Anything goes in here, good days, bad days, moans n groans. We’re aye here to listen and help.
Paula, I often buy a cheapie loaf for the birds as well, and I take some of it over to the pond for the swans n ducks. As you say it’s gobbled up.

Good morning everybody. Snow has almost gone here but still a cold wind. Got to get a few things from the shops today and catch up on washing.
