Over 50's Club Scotland (Part 1)

well Pixie I take a water pill first thing in the morning, then it’s 13 steps downstairs, not long after 13 steps up to the toilet…this goes on for a while…but it doesn’t come anywhere 1,478,
Roxy, I usually nod off about 5 or 6 o’clock, and I enjoy that sleep,

Pixie I just like to go for a walk. Paula I usually have a glass of water first thing in the morning. Haven’t been out today for a walk, did some housework which I’ve been neglecting for a few days.

I can’t face a walk today. Just too cold and miserable. The weather I mean, not me? Although…
Anyway I’m quite excited. Vaccination appointment for next Thursday. Sooner than I expected but very welcome. It’ll be at the Ingliston centre.

I did manage to get for a while, but didn’t count any steps. The wind was bitter and cut right through me, so I bundled up and marched with my head down against the wind until I got fed up, ha!

Pixie my daughter gave me a Fitbit for Christmas. Its very bossy and buzzes me every hour if I haven’t taken enough steps. I’m up and down the hall and walking a figure of eight round the sitting room while still watching TV. It makes you feel so good when you’ve hit the target though. It’s much easier to clock up steps out on a walk somehow.

Morning, Back to snow again, sheeszze will it never end. Big Roast in the oven cooking away, having a nice full Sunday Dinner not had one for a wee while. Himself has finished for the day so he’s in under my feet again. Weather’s stopped us doing anything so once I’ve done a tidy up it’s jigsaw and audio book for me again.

No snow here yet, Roxy, how is your daughter’s arm now?..we haven’t had any word yet about the vaccine, supposed to be sending letters out this week

My doctors must be inundated with vaccine calls because they have just sent out a mass text asking that people do not call the surgery making enquiries about it - they will be called in if over 75, or be requested to go to a vaccination centre via the Blue Envelope Appointment System.

She’s on the mend now Paula, but not able to drive all the way to her work, so she’s working at home for a couple of weeks, then she sees her Doctor again. What a nightmare it’s been for her.

Pixie Knuckles there’s some odd stuff going with vaccination venues. Friends are being sent to places miles away despite much closer ones being open. I reckon most people will just go where they’re told (transport permitting). Hope you get yours soon.

My pal in Perth is not a happy bunny, she’s in her early 70s and like me has heard nothing about going for her jag. Her neighbour is going tomorrow to the Dewars Rink Centre, and she’s 65 and no special needs ect. WTH?

I have a while to wait yet Jane, but my husband has his next week, and he has been sent to the local community centre. It isn’t too far away thankfully. Its shocking that people are being sent so far and wide - what if you have mobility issues, for example?

Good afternoon everybody. No snow here thank goodness. Its over 60’s and seventies here this week. Its in the local sports centre so no problem with travelling. Spoke to soon, just seen a few flurries of snow drifting past the window. Going to wrap up and get out for a walk I haven’t been out since Tuesday due to the bad weather.

Morning Had a cold snowy walk at the beach this morning, but I got off light as it’s really coming down now. :089:How I hate this time of year.
Was hoping to work in the greenhouse this afternoon, get the benches out and scrubbed ect but that’s not going to happen. Again with the Roll on Spring…

Good afternoon ladies A few flurries of snow here again, so not going out today. Roxy that’s a real wintery scene at the beach this morning. Some more housework today and then sit with my feet up.

Took a wee run to Asda this morning, it wasn.t very busy, first time I’ve been there for weeks, still very cold , but no snow yet…

Very frustrating today. One minute it’s bright sunshine and the next it’s heavy snow. Just when I thought it was safe to go for a walk down it came again. Am now watching TV but bright and sunny. Can’t win!

Seems like we’ve all had the same weather today. Went to Tesco for some veg for soup. Really cold wind but I was well wrapped up and walked home along the prom.

Heavy snow flurries on and off today - looks pretty in the street lights. Been out with the dog a few times (much to her disgust) but otherwise an uneventful day.
