Over 50's Club Scotland (Part 1)

Hello Pixie, it’s very cold, the heating’s on all the time, I’m dreading the bill coming in…

Hi Pixie and welcome to our group. Hasn’t stopped raining here since last night. I haven’t put my nose out the door today.Roxy hope we don’t get any snow here. Paula I was in Morrisons on Monday and it wasn’t to bad. I try to just go to just one shop each day.

Hi Paula, yes, lets not talk about bills eh? My heating and electric bills have doubled over the last 6 months. There’s enough going on in the world without freezing to death!

Yes, one shop a day is enough for me too - although I have tried online shopping once or twice. Its good, but the downside is that they always give you stuff so close to the best before date, which is annoying!

Hello another Scot here. Is it OK to join you? I’m in the East.
Miserable day today. Sleety rain. I’m just having a cosy cup of coffee and chatting to the cat.

Morning All, Looks like we’re getting a right old mix of weather today, sleet, snow rain and even some sun. Sheeeze. Will have to pick my time for the dogs walk. Got an appointment at the GP again, more blood tests, this time it’s the fasting one so I have not eaten since 4pm yesterday, and no breakfast today not even a coffee, just water.
My vase of daffs is almost out, love them so much of a difference they make. Well have a good day folks. :079:

I see from my Sparks card that I’m entitled to a free bunch of daffs in M&S. Would be good if they had any in my local branch!
Such cheerful flowers.

I’d love some daffs. I have lots of plants around the place but none are flowering right now since its winter and cold. Not going to M&S in this weather though, ha!

Pixie, I got mine in Tesco, I’m pretty sure all the Supermarkets have them, when I’m down in Perth I’ve seen them in both Asda and Morrisons.

:039: Welcome to all you new members by the way. :039:

Hi Roxy, thanks for the welcome! I wish I had thought of checking Tesco when I ordered the shopping! Gah! If it clears up later or tomorrow I might try Morrisons or M&S as they are closest to me. Looking forward to some spring cheer around the place now! Thanks

Hi Jane and welcome to our wee group, I’m on the West coast. Pixie I don’t do online shopping, but my niece did one for a few weeks ago. I prefer going to the shops and seeing what I’m getting. Roxy good luck at the doctors today. Another wet and windy day here so I’m staying home.

morning everyone, rain again, I won’t be out today, waiting in for a parcel…and baking a birthday cake for O H 's birthday tomorrow…enjoy your day…

Roxy…good luck at the G P s

Stabbing at Crosshouse hospital Kilmarnock…What a sick world we’re living in

Morning All, Dry here but a very very strong wind here, am heading out early before the snow or sleet starts again. Got a busy morning ahead then just the usual around the house. Himself is home under my feet a lot the last few days, he can only do so much while the weather’s like this.
Paula, that’s terrible, I didn’t see it in the News but will Google it when I get time later on.
Have a good day ladies.

Good morning ladies. Paula I seen that last night on the Ayrshire daily news, apparently something happened in Kilmarnock as well last night. Another rainy day here so its some housework and hopefully a walk later.

Morning I’m just up. I have slept for hours and my OH let me lol. I was sat on the sofa waiting on the Six o Clock News and next thing I wake up with a blanket over me and it’s almost 1am sheeezze.
Sitting with a coffee in front of the fire now, no lights on just the fire light, listening to the rain battering on the windows. Kind of cozy and nice. This is going to begger up my day tomorrow, I’ll have to try and make sure I stay awake.

Good morning ladies. A dry start here at the moment after three days of rain. Roxy I find I’m sleeping longer than usual at the moment don’t know why. Also in the afternoon I find I’m nodding off. Housework and then find something else to do.

I put it all down to boredom Jess. :frowning:

Hello everyone, I have been up for a while (and can’t keep off the forum!). Taken the dog out and tidied up a bit. Now I need to go and do something useful, like have some lunch. Hoping to go for a walk later and catch up on my steps - I only did 1,478 yesterday which was shocking!
