Over 50's Club Scotland (Part 1)

Evening, Came across this pic, a few familiar and nasties in here all together… Shudder.

Good morning ladies. Overcast here at the moment so going to take a chance and hang out some washing. Roxy I can recognise one of them. Now he is following our footsteps a bit to late for that. I’ve been sorting out stuff for the charity shop, so I’m waiting for my niece to come down with her car. Shopping later and maybe a bit of retail therapy.

Hi All. It’s been warm & fairly sunny for most of today but clouds have been forming from about 3/4 ish. That’s my excuse for not working in the garden! Caught up with a few people today which is always pleasant. I haven’t seen anyone in shops who wasn’t wearing a mask, not that I have been in many & it is all local. I know the masks are a bit uncomfortable but anything which helps to protect us is worth it I think. If only we could see a bit further ahead to a time when we feel less restricted and know this virus is on the wane. I fear for the winter months as we are told this may thrive in colder temperatures.

You are correct Roxy this is definitely a ‘rogues gallery’ of over privileged individuals with a sense of entitlement and who favour their (so called) friends with scant regard for the majority who actually fund most of their luxuries. Their capital is usually stashed away in trust funds & tax havens. I am reminded of something Clement Atlee was quoted as saying " Charity is a cold grey loveless thing. If a rich man wants to help the poor, he should pay his taxes gladly, not dole out money on a whim. I don’t care which school any or all of them attended. Because you pay extra (we all pay for education through our taxes) for your education it doesn’t mean you are more intelligent just that your parent(s) had more disposable income.

I thought I saw something about temperatures rising again soon. I think one of the reasons we’ve managed to stay sane is that we could enjoy a lot of time outdoors. Listening to the forecast at the moment it doesn’t look as if it’s any time soon. Enjoy your evening.

Evening not bad here today, spent most of it out in the garden, but walked with a pal and our dogs for an hour.
I spotted David Cameron in that photo straight away, even before blondie Boris, think George Osborne is there too. That photo is all of members of that revolting Bullington Club. Disgusting young Oiks so they are.

I spotted Boris straight away, but which one is David Cameron, Roxy?

You can’t miss that hair can you lol. David Cameron is standing in the back row, 2nd one in on the left.

Gosh … I wouldn’t have recognised him!

It looks like they have all be sent to the naughty step - they look so miserable!

Good morning ladies. They look like a bunch of giggalos. Beki I didn’t do much yesterday at all. Lazy day. Roxy good to hear your enjoying your time away. Hi Mags. I wonder where our May is and if she is ok. Going to get the train into today for a change.

Good evening all. How was your train journey Jess? I’m a bit unsure about using public transport. However I do want to go into Glasgow & Edinburgh city centres & I have mainly taken the train or bus for the last few years. I had a few functions over a weekend in Edinburgh at the end of last year so did take the car. I was surprised at how easy it was to drive around and even to get parked near to where I was going. I actually enjoyed driving around as it had been about a year since I last took the car in. Hairdressers tomorrow morning so I will be feeling a bit lighter tomorrow. The weight of the hair won’t make up for the Magmnug ice creams though. Take care all.

Good morning ladies. Beki the train was fine really long and plenty of carriages. Everyone kept their distance and were wearing masks. I took my own hand sanitiser with me, sprayed the seat, armrest and table. I’m off to get my hair done tomorrow. Housework and ironing this morning for me.

Good afternoon all. It was great to get to the hairdresser this morning. I’ve kept it a bit longer than before but it’s amazing how much lighter it feels. i suppose it’s more to do with ‘thinning’ it out (I’m obviously no expert in hairdressing matters!). My brother has been looking at places with outdoor seating where we could meet for lunch & says everything is booked up. Washing line dried today but it did start to rain a wee while ago. Hope May is OK. I know she has said she gets a bit fed up with some of the rubbish on forums. It is dispiriting at times. It would be lovely to have an intelligent sharing of opinions, whether we agree or not, but that seems difficult for some. Take care & enjoy your evening.

Beki I’m getting mine cut tomorrow. Not sure about the length when she cuts it. I’ve got used to putting inn a hair clip. Morrisons have a few tables outside but it doesn’t appeal to me. There was a heavy shower when I was out earlier and everybody was taking shelter.

Evening, Not a bad day weather wise so spent most of it outside tidying up. I must have missed a couple of wee tiny potatoes in my big tattie tub last autumn when I lifted them. There’s several potato plants coming up. Well on too, so they are lol. Just finished my dinner of cheese and macaroni, now too full to move, so it’s an evening in front of the telly.

Hi Roxy. My niece has been growing veg and tomatoes she did mention potatoes last week. Going away tomorrow for a few days with my niece and her family. Be back on Monday.

Have a good time Jess.

Afternoon All, Bright n sunny here but that winds a blooming pest, but I shouldn’t moan as it’s drying all the washing on the ropes.
Decided to stop using the bird feeding station and moved all the feeders across the garden and hung them in the tree. The pigeons are a pest, they’ve been at the base of the feeding station for months, pecking and raking through for dropped seeds ect. They’ve chewed up all my bark pieces and the weeds are coming up again. Tomorrow will have to go to the garden centre and get more, they are sooo heavy to move in those big bags too. But hopefully the pigeons will stop now the feeders have moved.

Good evening all. It has been warm & sunny most of the day. A wee bit of wind now but it wasn’t blowing my hair in my eyes earlier. Mostly because I managed to have it cut on Thursday! I spent a few hours in the garden, meant to have a shower when I came indoors & I’m still sitting here thinking about it. I hope Jess has a lovely weekend & that May is OK. Roxy, I don’t fill feeders until the winter as I think birds should be able to find enough food in other seasons. It’s also encourages the squirrels and they are pests & very destructive if they get into your house. Have a nice evening.

I only used to feed them in the winter as well, but this year as I was about to remove the feeders I saw several parent birds feeding their young ones from them. I ended up leaving them. May just remove them now though for a few months.

Good evening Roxy & anyone who looks in. It has been a lovely warm day. Clouds appearing now & again but the rain stayed away. I was out visiting this afternoon so haven’t been working in the garden. I really need to get into the habit of the on line exercise classes as I feel seriously out of condition. I’m stiffening up and have definitely put on weight. No excuses the exercise starts tomorrow. How are you all managing to keep fit? Take care.

Evening Beki, A nice enough day here too but I’ve not been in the mood for doing anything apart from walking the dog. Just couldn’t get myself in gear at all. I’ve also put on weight and am getting stiff again, I swam between 40 n 50 lengths of our local pool Mon to Fri for the past ten years, I miss it like mad, but to be honest I feel a bit wary about going back again when and if they ever reopen. I also miss my Linedance classes, I taught 8 classes a week for years, but my knees got too sore.
Ah well, tomorrow’s the start of another week, they are fair rushing in.
