Good afternoon ladies. Roxy enjoy lunch tomorrow with your son and daughter. Beki I’m looking forward to meeting friends for coffee. Also meeting up with family for lunch. May not an ideal day for sitting in the garden for lunch and drinks with your friend. Just getting ready to go out to the shops,
Good afternoon all. I’m sure someone is determined that I get totally unfit and my bum 3ft bigger (if it isn’t already). Mornings are bright and dry and, just about the time I’m ready to get into the garden it pours down. It’s been this way for the best part of a week, and some of last week as well I think. I need to start looking for exercise ‘classes’ on the TV or internet. It’s easy to plonk myself in front of my laptop and the day, & evening, just gallop past. I need some of your discipline May. Enjoy your day.
Good Afternoon Each, and what a stinker of a day it is,windy wet & cold
Oh Beki, don’t look to Me for inspiration as Mine has gone oot the windae!..I decided to go on a strict nutritious diet 8 Years ago to lose the 20 lbs I’d gained since retiring & having a major op’,and I’ve kept it off…until NOW.I always gained a few lbs over each winter, but would soon lose it again between March/May…that has not happened this year with being in isolation for months where My main aim was to find food, cook it,and eat it,along with lots of unhealthy rubbish!..
…so the situation is I’ve gained the weight I lost all those years ago and for the first time I’ve had to go UP a size with trousers/jeans/tops…I still exercise mainly to keep My muscles/heart/lungs strong and healthy, but exercising alone won’t help with weight loss I’m afraid,I’m not in the mood for dieting and I don’t think I ever will be again…hey ho…c’est la vie.
Good afternoon ladies. Beki I hate exercise of any kind even at school, I just hated it. Although I do like going out walking. May the weather has been the same here today, I haven’t been out the door today. Hopefully it will be better weather tomorow.
Good afternoon all. At last I had a few hours in the garden. I was so stiff & sore. That’s it, definitely looking for exercise programmes. I just need the motivation to actually do the exercise. It’s been dry but windy. I forget my hair is much longer than usual & it keeps blowing in my eyes. Fortunately I have a hair appointment for the 16th July. Like all of you I suppose I have good days & bad. Sometimes I get fed up but I prefer to be safe. Laughing at the ‘pub beer gardens’ will be opening soon. This is forecast to be the wetest July for a few years, so we’ll be needing our umbrellas I think!
Morning, Not a bad day here in Perth but it’s early yet. Himself left a wee while ago to drive back up north to the farm. I’m over at Kinoull Hill with the dog for our walk. Had a lovely day on Sunday with the family and will be heading to Dundee later in the week to the daughters. After breakfast I intend to get stuck into the garden. Have a nice day
Good Morning Each, still cloudy here but hope it will brighten up for My walk up the Main St for some shopping,
Don’t know of any pubs in My wee Town with beergardens except one further up the hill, the 2 Hotels here have but Son says He’ll wait until the pubs open properly before He goes for a pint…personally I couldn’t care less if the pubs never open again
Have a good day all and stay safe.xx
Good afternoon ladies. Beki I have a hair appointment for the 17th of July. I’m using a hair clip that belongs to my niece to keep my hair off my face. Roxy glad you enjoyed your lunch on Sunday. You’ll be looking forward to seeing your daughter. May we have one pub here with a beer garden, but that’s not open. Some of the restaurants have opened with tables outside, one of them I’m not fond of.
Afternoon All,well I got soaked to the skin on My way to the co-op,just had jeans t shirt & light cardigan on,had to strip and shower when I got Home and put on some warm clothes…I’ll probably end up with pneumonia!
…drinking a mug of hot chocolate to warm up…where’s the Summer gone
Good evening ladies. No rain here yesterday May, just had a shower about 15 minutes ago. Took a chance and caught the bus to Port Glasgow, to M&S. It was all well laid out and two metre distancing. Wanted some pyjamas but didn’t like them’ Got some food and then caught the bus home again.
Good evening all. Jess, you remind me of the many the times I have driven past Port Glasgow on my way to Greenock. I’m afraid I have never stopped in the town at all. Roxy, you remind me that I used to visit Perth every six months (when I was working) and I also enjoyed shopping in the city. I think I was last there a couple, or more, or years ago. I visited the Black Watch Museum when they had the Weeping Window of poppies. Today was dry so I did a little in the garden but I’m getting a bit fed up. I was in Dobbies yesterday & they are allowing customers to pick up a take away cofee & cake & sit at tables outside. Not sure if I will try it yet, especially when it’s raining! Sweet dreams & have a nice day tomorrow.
Good morning ladies. Beki a lot of the shops have closed down in Greenock and moved to Port Glasgow. It will be like a ghost town with no cruise ships coming in. Some of the places here are open with outdoor seating, but its not the weather for that just now. Housework today and then a walk later.
Good Afternoon People, not a bad one here mild & dry…
Have been on a bit of a spending spree over the last week or so,and all but one of My online purchases have been delivered today…it’s like Christmas
I saw that slimy toad Carlaw on sky news squirming at
answering questions about The Scottish Gov’ & Nicola Sturgeons route map out of covid 19 …He really couldn’t find anything rotten to say so He just got redder & redder in His big bloated overfed face, heh heh…He may as well give up
aint nobody interested in what He has to say :-p
Phase 3 starts Tomorrow, but I’ll just continue to support My local shops in My wee Town rather than going to the larger Towns & Cities for now anyway,
Stay safe Folks,xxx
Hi All. I will definitely shop local, but mostly do that anyway these days. I much prefer meeting people for coffee or lunch/dinner and a blether. A lovely day , sunny & warm out. I didn’t make the most of it though only spent a little while in the garden moving the table & seating around and some weeding and cutting back. looking forward to having my hair cut next week as it’s driving me crazy now. Take care & have a good evening.
May I’ve never done on line shopping, I like to see what I’m getting. I enjoyed my trip yesterday to M&S, Tesco Express is limited and Morrisons dont always have everything. Beki it turned out quite warm here today. Looking forward to some freedom next week, though I wont be going mad going everywhere.
I do lots of online shopping especially during lockdown…Argos/Dunelm Mills etc’…The only stuff I wouldn’t order are shoes/boots/coats which I’d need to try on first before buying…but I did order 2 pairs of jeans in Bon Marche online sale and I didn’t have to go up a size as they had elastic at each side of the waist. and they fit perfectly…yay!!.…I also pay all My bills online too…makes Life so much easier…gawd knows when I’ll go into the City clothes shopping again, but I’m in no hurry.
Good evening ladies. All my bills are paid by direct debit, saves me going to the bank. Was at my friends 65th birthday today, the first time I’ve seen her since lockdown. Also her family who I haven’t seen either for a while.
Good afternoon everyone. It has been quite sunny and warm today. Clouds coming over now. Popped out this morning & picked up a few bits & pieces. Everyone seems to be observing the advice & wearing masks in shops. It makes sense but it’s a bit too warm. I’ve managed to avoid my specs steaming up after a bit of practice. I get restless some days. Will be nice to make plans to catch up with people but doubt that will be soon. Have a good evening.
Good morning ladies. It was a bit cooler here yesterday so had to wear a jacket. Morrisons here have masks at the door for people who don’t have one. My glasses steam up a bit as well but that was because I was reading a book on the bus. Going for a walk later along the front.
