Over 50's Club Scotland (Part 1)

Sorry to hear about your knee May you have my sympathy, im loosing sleep with leg pain as well, and not being able to get out is frustrating.

Hope it gets better quickly.

Mike … thanks for the info re Portpatrick … it does look a pretty place  … I’m just waiting for a coach trip to come up at the right time and the right price

Evenin’ all,aye Portpatrick’s lovely with all the different coloured houses Myrtle, hope You find a trip to Your liking,

Thanks for Your commiserations on the auld knee-pain,I stuck a small bag of frozen green beans inside a knee support I wear when on the treadmill/exercise bike, and a hot pad on the base of My spine,so I had a hot derriere & a frozen knee, but it did help …Hopefully I’ll be able to get out & about Tomorrow as patience aint one of My virtues,

Hello to everyone can I join the club ? I live in Portpatrick

Oh Abbey lucky You,what a gorgeous Place to live…Lovely to see You on the SF with all Us nice Folks, heh heh.

Thank you , yes it’s a lovely place . Even nicer on a day like today .
So anything you want to know Myrtle just fire away .

Senior moment !!! Sorry

Wow Abbey !!! That’s fantastic … when I finally get to visit shall we meet for coffee ? I’d be on a coach trip … probably Friday to Monday and will be out on excursions during the day so it would need to be after dinner

Please say “yes”

Of course Myrtle ! You get free time too as I often see the people from the trips . They often speak to me and my dogs ! I can tell you any local knowledge you want to know . I take it you will be at the Portpatrick hotel ?
It’s got a fabulous view over the harbour and out to sea .

Yes that’s the Shearings hotel … I’ll let you know when I finally get chance to visit … probably not until next year now …

Good Morning Each,it’s wall to wall sunshine here, hope it lasts…Had a stint on the treadmill at an easy walking pace…not too much pain, but won’t venture out walking just yet, just a potter about in the garden…see ya all later.x

Good morning everybody and welcome Abbey…Sun is shining here at the moment so hope to get out in the garden later and tidy it up a bit.

Yes, plenty of sun here too. Just a few Cumulus clouds lurking. Glad to hear the knee sounds to be improving May. Let’s hope progress continues. My lawnmower in the shed is quietly wimpering and wanting to be let out. It will have to wait until I’ve finished my coffee though! Have a great day all!!

Mike.

Good morning from sunny Macclesfield

Good morning all. Sun shining here as well. Going to a funeral later. One of my wife’s old “clippie” pals.

Scot … what do you mean by “clippie” ? When I was young we always called the bus conductors “clippies”

Aye We called bus conductresses clippies too Myrtle…The Glasgow ones were known to shout to unruly passengers…“COME OAN…GET AFF”

Yes Myrtle, she was a bus conductress for most of the sixties.
Hello May you beat me to it

I went on a day out on Saturday to Howarth … Bronte Country … in West Yorkshire and went on the steam train and a vintage bus:-). The conductress was using this machine …

That looks similar to the one my wife had but not quite the same myrtle.
