Today we are having Gammon Joint as a Roast Dinner.

We are having a Chicken Salad today.

I had some breakfast, which I rarely do, because I don’t want to have to mess with lunch. I’ll be busy and won’t really have time to stop and eat. So I had scrambled eggs, a buttered muffin and a small bowl of oats with flax meal.

Today its:

Gammon, boiled potatoes, cauliflower cheese and runner beans from the garden.

When you say “cauliflower cheese”, what exactly do you mean? Cooked cauliflower with cheese sauce? We eat it that way often in the states as well.

Today for lunch I’m having a wedge salad. Here’s the link to the recipe, in case anyone would like it.

I made the dressing last night and it was really tasty.

I posted on this thread some while back,I wanted to lose a few pounds but it didn’t happen until i had a Holiday away and i had breakfast and evening meal with the accommodation ,Not having access to food like i did at home got me to accept less to eat .
I’m walking more also, and i’m pleased to say I’ve lost 4lb ,Im now more careful with what im eating ,Which is less White Bread for starters , and I eat a lot more Fruit .
Id like to lose another 4lbs but i think this will mean a lot more walking cause i dont think i could eat any less than what i am.

I just try and eat properly. I need to watch my weekend blowouts, though, I’ve been doing that a little too much lately.

Hi Linda, yes Cauliflower Cheese.

You boil the cauliflower so that its just tender, transfer to a casserole dish with salt and pepper, pour over a cheese sauce and grated cheese on top, put into oven for 10 mins.

Today its my Mums Funeral so we are having the Wake in the Pub with Fish & Chips.

I love cauliflower that way.

Sorry most of my meals tend to be quite boring so I don’t post them. It is either chicken/meat salad or chicken/meat and vegetables.

I did make my own soup over the weekend which I love, any vegetables which look like they are past their best put into a pan, soften and then blitz. I do get some funny colours depending on the vegetables used.

Still losing weight which is good up to 2 stone 6 pounds off now still aiming for three stone off before my holidays in October which should be doable.

Having Jewish Chicken Penicilian today with runner beans.

Today we are having a fry-up consisting of:

1 Fried Egg, 2 Bacon, Mushrooms, Beans, 1 Sausage.

Hi everyone----sorry ive not been for ages—just been so busy. the good news is that since i started counting calories i have lost half a stone in the last 3 weeks, and 2 3/4 pounds just last week. Still keeping my meals simple–yesterday i had 45 gram cereal, fruit, yoghurt. lunchtime was crackers, cottage cheese and fruit, and yesterday evening i had 2 meat free burgers, with roasted peppers and tomatoes with peas and sweetcorn–and finished off with a small muller lemon yoghurt. I drink mostly water these days–an occasional cup of green tea, and a hot chocolate drink at night. so that is a typical day for me right now. I have managed to get into the next stone down, which I was not sure I would ever do, so that is a big psychological boost for me. Hope you are all doing welll. xxx

That is such good news Mariana you have to find what works for you as not matter what they say we are not all the same.

Susiejaeger I so love my fry ups, I have those during my days off as I have more time to enjoy them. Had the slimming world sausages last week which where very nice. I have tried them before, but I think for best results it is best to defrost them first and then they brown better, it was trial and error with them.(even though they say cook from frozen)

Hi Shirley, I only have a fry-up once a fortnight because of the fat content, also I only have a small fry-up where as my Husband has double the amount to me.

Today I did my own Chicken Breasts, marinated in Indian Spices, did Bombay Potatoes and Cauliflower Cheese.
