Thanks Mariana.

Having a Roast today with Gammon.

I seem to be eating lots of chicken at the minute. Just as well I like it. Having chicken salad for lunch and a stir fry for tonight.

We are away for a few days from tomorrow so going to be a bit harder to stick to my healthy eating but as long as I don’t go too mad and we will be doing lots and lots of walking so hopefully might get away with it.

Had a really busy day today–and out all day tomorrow–=very unusual for me !!

Somehow I managed to put in a pound this week–even though I knowiI have done everything right–including walking more y, and doing some exercise on my wii fit—could still be the medication playing tricks–but i am not going to worry about it–just wait and see what happens next week–I may start worrying if it happens again !! the important thing to me is that I am feeling better, and getting stronger day by day.

cooked myself a pasta, quorn sausage and vegetable casserole earlier for when I got in tonight–so looking forward to that, plus lots over to freeeze for later in the week

I love chicken and could eat it every day. It’s so versatile.

Mariana, it’s only one pound. Our weight naturally fluctuates between 2 and 4 (give or take one or two) pounds every day. It could be water weight. It doesn’t mean it’s a pound of fat. Don’t stress out over it.

We had today:

Belly of Pork strips with Homemade oven Chips.

Chicken and Vegs for me today.

I had some good news recently - very good in fact. I’ve used sport to keep my weight down for a number of years but even though I have done zilch in the sporting department for around 6 months I have lost weight :); well, that isn’t the full truth of the matter as I put on 20lbs straight away once I stopped exercising (hurt my knee). But cutting down on high cal foods and booze I’ve managed to lose 8lb or so in the last few months. And this is when I haven’t moved off the computer, where I have been firmly entrenched for nearly all hours of the day. Just goes to show you can lose weight if your diet suits your lifestyle.

I lost 80 pounds without doing one ounce of exercise. So yes, it can be done

Naughty today, went to the Fish & Chip Shop and bought Cod and Chips, yummy.

Today I’m taking my son to a German restaurant. Our family is German/Dutch and he’s never had German food, except for the occasional dish I make at home. I don’t cook German often, though, because I could just never duplicate my grandmother’s German cooking and don’t feel it’s worth the effort if it doesn’t come out as awesome as she made it.

Today we are having:

Chicken Kiev, 2 small potatoes, carrots, broccoli.

Making my own Lasagna today with Salad.

I’m taking a frozen meal today for lunch. Not very thrilling, I’m afraid.

thats a coincidence–my 2nd husbands first wife—was German, and he lived in Germany for years–plus his 2 children were born there–when we first met, we used often to go to a German restaurant in tottenham Court road–London

Ive been missing all weekend—had my boyfriend staying here from Thursday afternoon, and he left a couple of hours ago. unfortunately he went to the dentist thursday afternoon, expecting a couple of fillings, but had 3 teeth out instead—so he was feeling a little sorry for himself to start with. However I made him stuff like scrambled egg-ham omelette–pasta and veg and quorn sausage casserole—easy to eat for him, and all Ok for me—I did not eat a single thing over the weekend that I should not have done, so no matter what the scales say this week, I know i have done my best–maybe a bit short oin exercising—but I am thinking of buying a fitbit–his daughter has one and it looks great !!! Hope you all had a good easter
 xxx

That’s nice that you made him something he could eat. I do that too when I have teeth pulled, live on soft foods for a couple of days. The worst thing ever is dislodging the blood clot and you end up with dry socket. I had that happen one time and once was enough, as the pain was excruciating.

German food is very filling and all you want to do afterwards is sleep, lol.

Fry-Up today.

I have a doc appt. today (nothing serious, just my 3-month checkup, which is required by law because of the anxiety meds I’m on) so I think I’ll stop and pick up some lunch on my way home. I was thinking Chinese. Maybe. It depends on what I feel like doing by then. But cashew chicken sounds good.

Tonight is going to be gammon, mushrooms and eggs and maybe beans.

Got on the scales today after being away for 4 days over the weekend and I was very happy as my weight had stayed the same. It wasent as easy to stick to my healthy eating as I thought it was going to be. But phew got away with it. Must have been all that walking we did.

thanks linda–yes all ok now with him thankfully.
I am getting weighed tomorrow morning–but despite everything , I know I have had a good week, no matter what the scales tell me–but on saying that–not really sure what I am eating tonight–maybe an omlette, with lots of veg chopped up in it
