Our Official Slimming Club Thread - open to everyone

Wow that is a good weight loss for two weeks Mariana good going.

I think that’s wonderful, especially considering many people gain weight from taking steroids. So you’ve done a good job managing everything.

Edit to add: Today I’m having a new salad from a local restaurant and the salad is called The Green Goddess. I’ve just got to stop and pick one up on my way home from errands (I’m on a small vacation from work this week) to have for lunch. It’s a mix of romaine lettuce and baby spinach with grilled chicken, bacon, chopped egg and cucumber, served with Green Goddess dressing (on the side).

Today we had:

Very small piece of Cod in breadcrumbs, homemade oven chips and peas.

Hi

THat is very good going Mariana, well done.

I am only aiming for 2lb a week, but getting there.

Had my yummy Goddess salad for lunch and for dinner I’m having a panini sandwich with Havarti cheese, grilled eggplant, spinach, roasted sweet red pepper, flaked salmon and crispy prosciutto. Looking very forward to that.

Have got Gammon cooking, so Gammon today and two lots in the freezer.

rrrrr

you are right Linda–and I did actually put on some weight–but not as much as i expected–but that is nearly all gone now—and in fact, I went on to my wii fit today, and am now only 1 pound more than I was 7 months ago
but ass I am only on 1 tablet now, and hoping to cut that down soon, i am quite optimistic about everything.

I suspect I may slow down now–although I rashly said I would lose 3 pounds this week, when I was at group—but it has been very encouraging to get such a good start this time, even though i am still taking steroids.

Today we had Lambs Liver & Mash.

I’m personally looking forward to Sunday dinner. Making Dutch Pot Pie.

Well, i had my usual --cereal, fresh fruit and youghurt from breakfast.
lunch time I had part of edame stir fry–but just raw with hard bolied egg
tonight i have some chicven in slow cooker, and have it with some cous cous red peppers and mushrooms—, then i am at a quiz tonight, sdo istrad of diving in everones crisps i made some crabsticks and mackeral pate, mix with quark and lemon juice–all no syns–and take some carrot and celery sticks.
yesterday I went to see my boyfriend in the next village–took my crackerbreads, cottage cheese and fruit for lunch–it was so nice–better than a corned beef sandwich, which is what he always has !!!

My chicken in the slow cooker was so so nice-i am always going to do it that way in future-i put a little hot water in bottom of slow cooker–dissiolved chicken stock cube in it–put 2 carrots and some celery stcks in water–lay chicen on the veg–put the lid on–then left it all day–so easy–might try that with other meats–although i do not eat a lot of other meats—but i have started eating gammon–maybe that would work in there–i will give it a go next time i have it

That sounds delicious, Mariana.

A small fry-up today.

It was lovely—got some left over to use in a stir fry tonight—ps. it was only half a chicken–I always cut them in half and put one half in the freezer, as its only me here—plus a few scraps for the dogs

Cod and oven chips today.

That’s a very good idea. Or with the leftover chicken, you could make some chicken salad or chicken noodle soup or chicken & veg soup, etc.

Always a good meal.

I ate too much over the weekend, so I’m cutting back this week.

I went for my Diabetic check-up this morning and the Nurse was really pleased with me, my overall percentage over 6 months was 7.

Good news Susie !!
