Its Curry and Rice today.

I was craving Chinese, so I ran up to the Chinese place at work today and got me some cashew chicken and an egg roll.

We had a roast today with Pork.

Do any of you have one of these?

It’s a breakfast sandwich maker and it’s the coolest little thing. Makes great Egg McMuffins, if any of you are fans of McDonald’s breakfast sandwiches. Today I’m putting Havarti cheese, sweet red pepper strips and avocado in mine. And, of course, the egg.

Today we had Lambs Liver, Mash & Peas.

Hi everyone—its me, back again—just starting to feel more like my old self—cut down on the steroids–only on 5 gm a day now [was 20 mg], and now i have to slowly reduce by 1 mg every 2 or 3 weeks–and hopefully off them all together–maybe by summer. althoiugh i had friends whohave been on them 2 years !!
when I was on 20 mg a day, I was eating far too much-my hunger increased, thats what steroids do-and I did put some weight back on–between 7 and 14 pounds-could have been worse I guess. But that is all over now. But im now back at Slimming World–had to take a break foir 6 weeks—and after the first week back, i lost 4 pounds–so i was very happy with that–especially as i still am officially on steroids, and cannot walk far because of a painfiul leg–but i do not think it is related, as i pulled a muscle badly in my leg and it is taking ages to heal up–but at least now it is improving
 i hope you are all doing well, and so pleased that you have kept this thread going. when i get chance i will go back and read the posts from the time that i have missed.
My next weigh in at SW is on Tuesday–so im hoping for another good result–i feel better already, and once i get off that weight i put back on when i was ill-maybe another 2 weeks will do it, then it will be like a new start.

Today we are having Chicken Breasts, two Potatoes, Kale, Carrots.

I love the sound of this, will have to investigate further.

I so love a full English as long as there is nothing fried.

I have hit the one and a half stone loss mark this morning or 21 lbs this sounds so much better and feeling so much better.

tonight is duck salad.

Mariana, glad to see you back and that you’re getting the steroid thing sorted. I too had to come down off of them gradually, so I know exactly what you mean. Hope all is well and things are getting better.

Its homemade Shepherd’s Pie and Vegs. today for dinner.

Sorry that you have been having problems, steroids are not good are they, especially if you are trying to loose weight.

I think Slimming World is brilliant, yes we all know what we should eat, but it sure helps to have some guidance doesent it. Keep up the good work.

I still need to make that sometime. Or probably cottage pie, since there’s no way I’ll get my guys to eat lamb. So I’d make mine with ground beef. Then at least one of them will eat it, lol.

Thanks Shirley and Linda–yes, everything is improving for me–back for my 2nd weigh in tonight at SW–i feel that i have done well–

started todasy with cerea. fruit and yoghurt=lunchtime home made egg mayo on crackerbreads plus bovril drink-planned tonight 2 quorn sausages. couscous and mixed veg–with home made sw strawberry mousse–plus ive walked 5000 steps today–not a lot–but better than nothing


That sounds really nice Mariana and don’t be too hard on yourself 5000 is really good going.

I went to Iceland Frozen Foods last week and got a few of their meals they do that go in the microwave. I thought I would try them out as sometimes I need something quickly. I have never spoken to so many people before. Everyone was lovely and telling me how they were getting on with SW. I came away feeling really good.

Mind you hubby thought I knew them all and was wondering why it was taking so long to get round the shop. :lol:

just a quick catch up frm tonights weigh in, as i just got home. I actually lost 5 pounds this weekk-cannot rememb er doing that before–so 9 pounds in just 2 weeks–last year it took me 6 weeks to lose the first 9 ounds. On top of that I was “Slimmer of the week” , so won the bag of goodies—23 items in total, apples, oranges, daffodils, tins of tuna, tins of veg–someone had to give me a lift home as I could never have walked all that way.
I cannot get to an Iceland, but someone on our group facebook page was saying about the lovely things there, so I did an online shopp–among other things bought the SW meatballs, SW quarter pounders, plus 3 different sauces—I did it that way, as I would get more meals out of them,had some of the meat balls last night with mushroom sauce–they were really lovely—but a bit spicy for me–next time I would include some youghurt, or fromage frais,
