Well Ladies, as usual i’m still exactly the same as I always am.
I’ve been eating healthy for the last two weeks, but today I am making Chicken Curry, small amount of Pasta shells.

As long as you’re eating healthfully. That’s the main thing.
Today for lunch I’m having beef liver and onions and 2 small baked red potatoes. Been having problems with leg cramps at night (despite all the water I drink) and part of it is due to the blood pressure medication I take, it depletes potassium and magnesium. So I’m taking a magnesium supplement and, since I didn’t want to pop yet one more pill every day taking a potassium supplement as well, my doctor told me to up my potassium intake with food. Two good sources of potassium are potatoes and bananas. My bananas aren’t ripe yet, so it’s potatoes for lunch. I’ve also been eating a lot of avocado lately.
Potassium supplements really are the best thing for cramps.
Well so far, since at least taking the magnesium, the cramps have subsided quite a bit. I was getting them every single night and knock wood the last few nights I haven’t had them at all.
I even bought this leg cramp cream and it was crap. Didn’t do a thing, so I threw it away.
Glad you hear the cramps are easing up Linda. I have had really bad muscle problems in my legs for years, and the Doctors and Hospitals couldn’t find what was causing it, I changed my Doctors for this lovely little Indian man, who is the only Doctor in the Practice, he sent me for a blood test and straight away when the results came back, he said to me, you have a deficiency in Vit. D, I will put you on supplements, one a day, and you know what the muscle pain went.
Today its Chicken Salad.
Tonight: Homemade Carrot and Coriander Soup.
Yep, sometimes it boils down to a simple vitamin deficiency. One of the main causes of muscle cramping is dehydration. But I drink enough water every day to fill a swimming pool, lol. I just love water. A big glass of ice water is the first thing I get in the mornings when I make my way out to the kitchen and I refill it all day long. When I’m at work, I’m grabbing bottles of water out of the fridge all day. My boss thankfully keeps me stocked with bottled water. Can’t drink the tap water, it tastes horrible for some reason.
Carrot soup sounds good. Never had it with coriander, though. I like coriander in Mexican dishes, but not sure if I’d like it in carrot soup. I once made this wonderful cream of carrot and sweet potato soup and omg, it was delicious.
Sorry will try again.

thats a coincidence–I just ordered some vitamin d tablets–arrived this morning. My painful leg feels a little better—taking magmesium tablets too…
carrot and coriander soup is very popular here–my friend has it when we go into cafe nero—ive tried a little of it–tatsted better than I thought–but was not really sure what else it contaime–cream maybe— I may try and make some myself.
I have a water filter jug–and filter all my water before drinking it–hot or cold—much cheaper than bottled water…
I could not access this link either–
At home I have filters for water (water that comes from fridge is filtered and I have a faucet filter on my kitchen sink) but at work we use bottled.
Ah, I could not access it either, but we just had ours, it was yummy, very spicy.
Carrot & Coriander Soup.
5 large carrots (diced).
1 large potato (diced).
1 large onion (diced).
Boil these ingredients in a saucepan with 1 pint of veg. stock, until soft.
Take off heat, add salt & pepper, and a small bunch of coriander.
Put everything into blender, and blend until smooth. Enjoy.
No need for cream Mariana, the potatoes make it thick and creamy.
THAT sounds fabulous. And so simple! Health in a bowl
That’s not a bad idea, though. I think a little drizzle on top of the soup (in your bowl/mug) just before eating would add an extra delicious flavor.
Yes a lot of people do that.
We are having Lasagna and Stir-fry veg. today.
Today for lunch I’m having salmon salad in a pita. Well, a half of a pita. Having the whole thing would put me over where I like to stay for lunch calories.
As for tonight, I don’t know. It’s Friday and the boys (my son and his dad) usually get pizza and watch movies or their goofy shows (anything funny and politically incorrect they’ll watch, lol) but I don’t really want pizza, so I’ll find something else for myself. If I do pizza, I normally make my own.
How about a spicy wrap for yourself Linda, while they are having Pizza.
My dinner was lovely today.
A wrap, yes, I live on those things. But not spicy. I don’t like spicy food
