Today its back to Chicken Salad.

Maybe a soup tonight.

I’ve been doing pretty good all week. However, today might be a little bit of a challenge, I’m going to lunch with my cousin. It’s a place called Roosters and they’re known for having the best chicken wings in the city. Thankfully, while I like chicken wings, they’re not something that really floats my boat. But they have one of the best fish sandwiches I’ve ever eaten. It’s this massive piece of fried fish on a hoagie roll with tomatoes, shredded lettuce and tartar sauce. However, they also supposedly have one of the best BLT’s around and BLT is my favorite sandwich, so I may try that today, since I’ve never gotten one from Roosters before.

For a side, I may just opt for a small salad instead of their traditional sides like chips, tots, onion petals and they even have mini corndogs. Christian Jessen doesn’t know what a corndog is, so I’m not sure if anyone else will either, LOL. It’s an American creation. We’re good at coming up with foods that will give people coronaries, LOL

The Chicken wings sounds good, but not much meat on them, but I couldn’t eat Fish in a Sandwich or Roll.

I am ok—been out most of the morning at Hospice coffee morning at the church—managed to buy a home made fruit cake—not for me–for my boyfriend tomorrow–I do not do baking

I am managing to keep my weight steady despite being virtually unable to walk much—and still not going to slimming world,so happy about that—last night–back to one of my favourite meals–salmon, avacado, grated carrot and apple salad—so nice !!! Not sure about tonight—maybe a mushroom omelette–sounds good to me

These wings are huge. Big and meaty. They must give their chickens steroids, lol.

I love fish sandwiches.

I don’t bake either, I hate it. I love to cook, though. But when it comes to cakes and cookies and pies and bread, that sort of thing, I don’t do it.

Glad you’re doing well

I do bake Rock Cakes for my Husband and my MIL, also I make them Apple & Blackberry Crumble or Pie, none for myself.

Today we had a roast of:

1 Chicken breast between us, Roast Potatoes only 2 for me, brussels, swede and gravy.

Its back to Salmon Salad again for me today.

Ive made a large pan of tomato soup and added lots of extra vegetables to it for tonight–Im expecting my boyriend round this evening, and it feels quie cold already—so probably really cold this evening.
Lunch , probably some egg mayo on crackerbread

I went back down on the scale. Must have been water retention and I figured out why - it’s because I stopped taking my diuretic for blood pressure to see if I could live without having to take 2 medications for BP, but my BP went back up. So I went back on the diuretic and all I’ve been doing is hitting the toilet every half hour, lol.

oh dear—not much you can do about that–just allow for it when you weigh yourself

Well, it wasn’t just that. My blood pressure went back up. Can’t have that. And besides, how do you account for water weight when you don’t know how much water weight you have? So
back on the pills. Went to the doc today for a check-up
1 stone 5 pounds gone and my blood pressure was 126/76. When I went off the diuretic, it shot up to 158/76.

So yeah :frowning:

Oh well. I’m used to getting up every 2 hours all night long to go to the bathroom.

Oh dear–thats bad luck–but well done on losing nearly 1 and a half vstone–I have not weighed myself for a week–but btoday, I out on a skirt that once was very toght round the waist—it gradually started ceeling looser and looser—today it is almost falling off !!! So that feels like a result to me !!

That’s definitely a result!

Well I had a really healthy dinner today.

Fresh Sea Bass with boiled potatoes, carrots and runner beans.

Tonight Vegetable Soup.

scrambled egg, salmon and tomatoes tonight

You guys are doing better than me, foodwise. Today after grocery shopping, I caved in to my Taco Bell craving and ate a bunch of stuff I probably shouldn’t eat. But oh well, that’s a very rare treat for me, so my cravings are calmed for another few months.

I’ve just come across this thread.
I am where I want to be now, and have managed to lose about 3 stone over the last 4 years, going at it slowly.
I am careful now as I have no intention of gaining that weight again.
My blood pressure went down, so I no longer have to take any medication, and am only a borderline diabetic so no medication for that either.
I weigh myself every day, which I know is excessive but have got into the habbit

Welcome, Jainie, the more the merrier

Congrats on your weight loss and also getting off the medications. That’s my goal as well. Now that I’m older, the weight loss is more for health reasons than esthetic reasons.

Hello Jainie—well done on your weight loss—and keeping iot off—plus getting off your medications—I guesss theres mo harm in weighing yourself every day–just as long as you remember that your weight can go up or down a few pounds for no obvious reason—but good to keep it under contriol-In try to weigh once a week–but sometimes I just forget !! As long as my clothes are feeling ok, then I know Im fine

You’re absolutely right, Mariana

I normally only weigh myself about once a week. Sometimes twice, but rarely. Everyone does it differently.
