Hotter the better for me Linda.

I’m a wimp when it comes to spicy food. I don’t mind a LITTLE heat once in a while, but the hot stuff I can’t do. My son and his dad love spicy food and they put sriracha on a lot of things and like stuff like ghost pepper sauce and super hot chicken wings. I don’t know how they stand it. I always say, ā€œDo you even TASTE the food you’re eating?ā€

LOL

I was really naughty yesterday and i’m paying for it this morning.
Lunch I had Lasgna and Stirfry. Supper I had plain buttered Tiger Roll and a large bag of crisps. My husband bought me the crisps without thinking first, it had 4g of sugar in them as they were sweet chilli and I ate the lot. This morning my sugar levels were 15.7 - shock, as normally it is 8 or 9. Never again, no more crisps or high sugar things again.

but i do not eat potatoes—maybe i could substitute red peppers…need to get some coriander next shop…

Ouch, yeah, I’d be careful with that too. Even though the foods you ate were savory, there’s still hidden sugars in there, especially in Asian food.

Turnips maybe? Or cauliflower? Those are good subs for potatoes in soups.

Or maybe Red Lentils?

Ooo, yes! Yum yum yum. Excellent idea.

I see I’ve got your taste buds pulsing Linda.

red lentils sound good—no turnip or cauliflower-not for me… !

Haha, most definitely. I LOVE lentils of all kinds :-p

Hey, was that a pun? LOL

I love cauliflower, but turnips, eh, I can take 'em or leave 'em. The only way I’ll eat turnips is if they’ve been roasted for hours in with other food (like a Sunday roast) and they’re super soft and buttery.

Morning all.

Turnips, no not for me, no taste just peppery, cauliflower got to have cheese sauce on it.

Having a small fry-up today.

I was tempted the other night to have a couple of bowls of muesli, after a perfectly good evening meal, and of course I’d put on a few lbs the next day, but they are on their way down, after one good day yesterday and a not too bad one so far today.
I don’t eat turnips, but do have swede occasionally, it’s nice mashed with lots of butter.

shopping list this week–carrotts, coriander, red lentils, onions, and red peppers—making a huge batch of soup–getting ready for colder weather-

Well done Mariana, get that soup going, and how about Pea & Bacon Soup? or Watercress and Spinach.

Today we are having a healthy day.

Plain Cod, Boiled potatoes, Carrots, Brocolli, Parsley sauce.

Well, just remember that those few pounds are a normal weight fluctuation and most likely water. You can’t put on 3 pounds of fat overnight. That’s the good part.

I have a book of Slimming world soups–I will definately start making more—

You should Mariana, freshly made soup is a lot better then cans, you know what you are putting in the soup.

Today we had Tin Red Salmon and Salad, and I was naughty with a baked vegetable spring roll.

Umm, sorry, but I fail to see how that’s ā€˜naughty’

I have some shucked oysters that I was contemplating what to do with. Do I want to make oyster stew? Or just bread them and fry them up? Either one sounds delicious.

Don’t like Oysters, but if it was me, I would bread them up and fry them.

I say the Spring roll is naughty because they are quite greasy.
