rthanks Linda it may well do—just had salmon–cooked in my microwave–last toime hopefullly–had it with grated apple and carrot—really really lovely
just checking out your link…
Plus–i put on 2 pounds at Slimming World–its crazy–ive been eating as I usually do-well maybe a bit less–plus cut down on the walks because of the heat–but 2 pounds !!! but i do not care-as i could barely keep my skirt on today–so either I try and alter it—or get rid—alter it i think for now ! lol
Some interesting tips there—glad to see the salmon–and the grilled veg—at the moment, i do my rasted poeppers in the microwave…
I do roasted peppers and tomatoes and the like in the oven. Not sure how a microwave would properly roast a pepper?
And don’t sweat the 2 pounds. Our weight naturally fluctuates up and down, so it doesn’t necessarily mean you’ve put on 2 pounds of fat.
the microwave roasts the pepper pretty well actually—but it might be quicker on a grill…i can do quite a lot in my microwave–…No, im not really worried about the 2 pounds–not any more–not while all my clothers are getting too big for me, anyway…
That’s right. As long as your clothes are getting bigger
Although I suppose–logically they are not–its me getting smaller lol lol
Haha! You’re right. They’re not technically getting bigger, but on your body they are.
In my slimming world group-someone appealed on our closed facebook page to see if anyone want to join in a walking group once a week–not power walking, but a good fast walk-for about an hour–not sure if i am mad, but I agreed to give it a go. !! i am probably quite a few years older than the little group who have already decided to walk-but I do walk quite a lot–well, I have to , as i have no transport–no buses, only on the main roads—plus i walk my dogs every day–but they are slow, stop, sniff !! takes 30 minutes to do a 10 minute walk with them Lol.
Starting next Monday night at 7.00.
Fingers crossed for me that I can keep up with all the younger women—probably half my age–or even less !!!-
Well, you don’t have to join in the walk if you don’t want to, right? Or when someone makes a challenge, does everyone feel kind of pressured to do it?
I prefer steady paced walking. Fast-walking would probably kill me, with my hip bursitis and all. There are some days I can barely move around.
Sounds to me like you do a good amount of walking already.
Oh and don’t feel bad about the couple pounds you went up. I did too. I’m 2 pounds heavier than I was the last time I weighed myself. I try not to stress out over it, because I doubt it’s actual fat weight, as I’m sticking to my eating plan and all. But I will admit that I’ve gotten a little careless on the weekends and I need to get a grip on that because if I continue to make that a habit, I’ll definitely put weight back on for sure.
No, i do not have to join in if I do not want to–and there is no pressure—but I guess an extra hour walking a week is not going to hurt me—plus its all around my village–starting at the church–if i have had enough i will just go home ! But is a good way also of getting to know more people-as some are from different time/day groups.
Very true
I’m craving an egg salad sandwich. Will have to buy some nice bread at the grocery today. Pimentos as well. I like pimentos in my egg salad. That will give me something yum to munch on over the weekend so I’m not tempted to eat a whole bunch of junky stuff.
Sounds good—are pimentos the same as red peppers–thats what im planning for me and my ex BF tomorrow for lunch, when i visit him. egg salad and roasted red peppers. Lovely fresh wholemeal bread–simple, tasty all good. That is probably the only time I have bread now–I used to have it vutually every meal. so cut right down on it.
Had a chicken salad today.
Pimentos are peppers, but they’re cherry peppers. They’re somewhat similar in taste to a red bell pepper, but not quite the exact same. I buy them in jars, already roasted and diced. This is about the pimento. I love them.
Your lunch sounds really good. I don’t eat bread with meals, I mainly eat it as sandwiches. I eat more pita breads and wraps than I do regular bread. But I still think I eat more bread than I should.
Oh well. Since all the demonization of food has come about in the last 10-20 years, you’re half afraid to eat anything and I got tired of constantly obsessing over “don’t eat this and don’t eat that” that I now, within reason, eat what I want. My grandmother grew up eating bread and bacon and animal fat and fried foods and lived to be almost 90. And she was a big woman, too. Not what they would consider morbidly obese, but she was just this tall, stocky German woman who could have definitely stood losing a few pounds.
Everybody’s having chicken and egg salad this weekend. We’ll start clucking soon, I’m sure
We had Salmon and Salad today.
Mushroom omelette–plus I walked 5741 steps !!
Had an egg salad sandwich for lunch today. That’s all I’ve had so far.
