Crikey, that’s a lot of money for ice cream, I bet you enjoyed it though.
I had homemade Vegetable Curry and a little bit of pasta shells.

I’m trying something new today. I have a tomato and cooked cauliflower on my plate, but I’m also eating a quick and easy recipe I found called Cottage Scramble. It’s scrambled eggs mixed with cottage cheese. It’s not too bad, actually.
3 more pounds down as of today, for a total of 18 (1 stone, 4 pounds) so it’s getting there slowly. I’d like to be down another 20 by Christmas.
Thats good to know—just in case im tempted agasin lol lol
Mariana where are you buying your fresh salmon from …thats amazing if you can buy 3 days worth of it for only £3.50 …do you get it from anywhere special please…?
Well done Linda—yiu are overtaking me lol.
I have had scrambled egg and cottage cheese before–sometimes i pop in some chopped tomosatoes too-or chopped roasted pepper.
yes, you could do that by Christmas I think someone said its 18 weeks away—so 1 pound a week and you ae almost there.
Well, it sure is taking its sweet time, but I ain’t 25 anymore
I remember the days where I could just cut out things like cheese and sugary colas and eat nothing but salads for a while and drop 10 pounds with little effort. Not that easy these days. But at least my weight is going down rather than up.
That’s the cool thing about eggs - you can mix in pretty much whatever tastes you like and it will come out good.
I like egg and oats. Sounds strange, but it’s a recipe I found some time back and although I was skeptical of it at first, I’ve loved it since the first time I made it.
Ingredients
1 whole egg
2 egg whites
1/2 c. rolled oats
2 oz skim milk (just more than a splash)
Directions: Add all ingredients to bowl, mix well.
Spray non-stick spray in a skillet or frying pan.
Add all ingredients; scramble as you would with ordinary eggs.
When eggs-n-oats reach desired texture (just like scrambled eggs–wet, dry, somewhere in between), remove from heat, plate.
A great way to get both protein and fiber in one bowl.
Ive seen a recipe similar to this–but using yoghurt insteasd of milk–flavoured ones are nice–like a sort of muffin . ! BNut not tried yet–only see on fb.
…
Ugh, I can’t do yogurt. Can’t stand the stuff.
The recipe youve posted Linda looks really nice…I wouldve never thought of having oats with eggs either but it does look rather tempting from your picture on here…and easy to do as well
That’s what a lot of the review’s of this recipe said, that they would have never thought of having oats and eggs together and that they were skeptical at first. But once they tried it, it became a new favorite brekkie
Now if we could just get Mariana to tell you where she gets her fresh salmon
lol I love fresh salmon …I get mine from the supermarket but its around £3-£4 for two small pieces …enough for son and myself for one meal…
The eggs and oats breakfast looks very healthy and filling ,I will definately give that a go sometime
Fresh salmon is pretty expensive, but I buy it now and again. I also love monkfish, grouper and orange roughy. I don’t eat much tilapia, even though it’s less expensive than other fish. It’s just boring to me. Not much flavor, but a good fish for making fish & chips, if you get the thicker loin pieces. Cod is good for that as well.
i buy it in Sainsburys from their " basics range"–sometimes they are funny shapes but that does not matter—a pack for £2.50 will easlly do 2 meals—another pack–another 2 meals-thats what I had tonight actually-- plus the other week Sainburys were selling their tail fillets for only £1.50 a pack–instead of £2.20–still perfectly good salmon.
sorry replied out of order— answer Sainsburys basics range
Thanks Mariana …I will have a look next time I go to my Sainsburys supermarket…thats a good price
The “basics” come in different prices-depenging on how much they weigh obviously.
Today we are off to a Classic Car Show with our Morris 8, so its going to be a picnic or Turkey Sandwiches, Pork Pies and Scotch Eggs and this evening is Egg Salad.
That sounds like fun—I just had cereal and fruit----crispbreads and cottage cheese, salmon and salad–plus a yoghurt.
Having Chicken Breast, Carrots & Cabbage today.
