yes i know what you are saying–i just thought they were very high in calories—but i do love avacado–might treat myself next weeks shopping…

An average size Hass avocado (flesh only, of course) is around 227 calories. I normally only eat half at a time. Another thing I love doing is mashing the avocado up with some lite mayo and making avocado mayonnaise, which is delicious spread onto sandwiches or crackers. And, of course, there’s guacamole, which I make on occasion as well and have with tortilla chips.

Salmon Salad for me today, and probably a Tiger roll for supper.

i had scramb;led egg at lunchtime with a thin bagel

tomato and vegetable and chicken soup this evening.

that sounds doable–so avacado defo on my next shooping list.

Definitely!

Today I had:

Homemade Shepherd’s Pie, spicy potatoes, broccoli, carrots.

I was out for lunch today–very rare occasion—
started day with weetabix fruit lf yoghurt.
For lunch i had liver–first time for ages–my first plate was inedible–burtn black, and i could not even chew it—so sent it back, and the 2nd plate was perfect. it c ame with bubble and squeak—which I do not eat so I had peas.
really spoiled myself with desert–eton mess–first time for ages that I had something really naughty—but I guess we all need a treat once in a while-I had a difficult 2 weeks and things are still really tough.
But tonight I just plan something simple–a little rice-some chopped veg, and a little wafer thin ham.

Got to have a treat now and again Mariana. I also cheated tonight, I had an Ice cream.

Do you not like bubble & squeak? Or do you just avoid it because of the cals? I don’t think I would have been able to pass that up.

I had ice cream over the weekend for the first time in ages. I’m not a huge ice cream fan, but Sunday I was in the mood for some, so I really did it up (or “overdid it” is probably what I should say). I scooped a reasonable amount of marshmallow ripple ice cream into my bowl. But then I added marshmallow cream and then whipped cream on top of that.

Linda–no i do not like bubble and squeak–I hate potato in any form—never eat them.

Oh… well that’s a good reason then!

One should eat to live and not live to eat.

There - sorted  .

Is this just a random opinion - one that many of us are already aware of - or are you suggesting that we here, in this thread, base our whole lives around food?

Yes  .

That’s not a legitimate answer.

LOL

It’s Boiled Egg Salad for me today, must make sure that the salad is washed properly.

Really feeling nervous today waiting for counseling tomorrow=-feel very unsettled and cant get to grips with things-all I want to do is nibble-but really trying hard not to.
I had crispbread cottage cheese and grapes for breakfast
just had somne cold chicken in a kind of coronation sauce , with chopped celery, peppers, sugar snap peas
tonight its salmon with ovenroasted peppers–maybe cous cous–or i bought some quinoa last week-might try that.

Does not sound too bed–but inbetween, ive had a processed cheese slice-another crispbread–more celery and grapes–a fruit yoghurt…

Love love love egg salad.

I think you’ll be fine, Mariana. And cool, you got some quinoa

Here, I’ll post you one of my favorite quinoa recipes. Need to make these again soon.

These are so delicious. The first time I made them I fell completely in love. You can tweak ingredients to add or substitute whatever you’d like.

Lunch today was a medium-rare tuna steak, a pile of steamed spinach and 3 large tomato slices. I have another monstrous tomato that I need to use up before it goes bad, so I think I’ll make some salmon salad to stuff into it and take that to work for tomorrow’s lunch.

Tonight’s supper I haven’t figured out yet.

Thanks Linda–plus for the recipe—that sounds great-never thought yu could make a burger out of it–definatly will try that out soon.
