Well done Artangel.

Looking at your daily plan, it sounds more food then I normally have.

Today is:

Porridge.
Pear.
Fry-up, 1 Egg, 2 Bacon, a few bake beans, mushrooms.
Soup, 1 slice bread.
Apple.

My friend gave me this link today, it might be helpful, but when reading it through it says Diabetics to avoid this diet.

The 8 week blood sugar diet

Sorry, the link did not work for me, but you can still just type it in on your browser.

How much weight have you lost now? susie. Are you drinking 2 litres of water a day?
The instructor mentioned ā€˜overnightā€™ porridge with yoghurt but l donā€™t like yoghurt. Iā€™m still not sure what she meant by ā€˜overnightā€™?
I bet Realist knows!

I donā€™t think Iā€™ve lost anything Artangel, I never do.

susie , Youā€™ve not lost weight, even after the small amount that you eat? At Slimming World and with the instructor, we are told to eat often and never be hungry.

The FF plan sounds good Artangel. Iā€™m a fan of more smaller meals than the 3 traditional meals per day.

Actually I would recommend only eating when your body tells you it wants food. Since giving up the 9-5 office trap and being free, I found that I would want breakfast as soon as I got up, say 9-10am, then something else around 11.30 then I would get hungry again around 3pm and then I would have an evening meal around 6-7pm. I might even occasionally eat something later around 9-10pm if I felt hungry. That would usually be some toast or a bowl of cereal.

I should note that I am in no way dieting. I am simply eating differently to the regimented days when I worked in an office. I eat only when I want to eat. Drink only when I feel I want a drink. I never drink litres of water a day. Mostly I drink tea, which is probably not good.

However within 6 months of leaving work I lost over a stone just from that change. Now my weight is stable no matter what I eat.

BTW the ā€œovernight porridgeā€ refers to soaking oats overnight (usually in milk) to create the best tasting porridge. You need the right oats to do this, not the instant stuff nor steel cut, but good rolled oats. This is a good article on the topic:

It will be interesting to see how you get on with your FF plan.

I may have lost just a couple of pounds, only I am normally 66kg but today I am 64kg.

Just had homemade Curry and Rice.

I eat when Iā€™m hungry. And thatā€™s it. I donā€™t eat on a ā€˜scheduleā€™. I also donā€™t force myself to eat if Iā€™m not hungry. I went to bed last night with no dinner because, simple reasonā€¦ I wasnā€™t hungry enough to eat anything. I had eaten a handful of rice crackers earlier, so I was fine.

2 kilos is about 4 and a half pounds-so that is really good. You are doing so well.

I am still not feeling wellā€“not feeling like eating muchā€“just had crispbreads and cottage chese pinapple for breakfastā€“at 1.30 !!

Might have some scambled egg , tomato , slice whole meal bread about teatimeā€”and as Im going to a quiz tonight, I will take a yoghurt with me.

Oh iā€™m surprised at my weight.

Sorry you are still not well Mariana, do you have any homemade soup that you can have?

Yes-i have some home made soup in my freezerā€“just did not fancy it.
I was told that the antbiotics could be making me feel unwell-so just another 2 days to go. !!

But i enjoyed my scrambled egg and tomatoes this evening.

Eating a little better today

crispbread, cottage chesse pineapple
crispbread houmouss
pasta with chopped vegā€“salmon
yoghurt.

My favourite crispbreads are Ryvita Crackerbreadā€”only 19 calories a slice. I buy the plain ones that come in a large pack for only Ā£1.10p contains 2 sealed packsā€“useful. Although I bought 2 ryvita tins to keep them fresh.

Today it is:

Porridge, made with water.
Salmon Salad.
Chicken Roll.

Mornin Lassies and congratā€™s Artā€™ on Your weight lossā€¦fabā€™ā€¦Itā€™s been too hot here in the West of Scotland for the past week to do much cooking,so instead of having 3 meals a day, Iā€™ve just been snacking 4/5 times a day and Iā€™m surprised Iā€™ve lost a couple of Lbs,so a change in eating habits does work

That is brilliant May. Well done

I had my usual breakfastā€”spent the afternoon with a friend, so to make it simple i took my owm lunchā€“2 slices wholemeal bread with salmon. Not really hungry this evening so had a little pasta and chopped vegetables.

You guys eat like birds, LOL.

But I canā€™t talk, since I never (or rarely) eat breakfast. And today for lunch I had a Lean Cuisine. But tonight Iā€™ll have something a little better. Going to make me a nice wrap with avocado mayo.

Today iā€™m having:

Porridge.
Boiled Egg Salad.
Homemade soup, 1 slice of bread.

How is it going so far everyone, happy with your progress ? Anyone hit the stone wall yet, always found a time when things stalled for a while.
