The people here are only not real in the sense that they can’t punch me on the nose, Bratti.
I like your attitude, Psmith.
That’s just it, Bruce, I don’t think telling people about my medical problems would do much towards helping them to make the most of their lives.
My daughter as an extrovert extraordinaire would be up there with Harbal’s suggestion… She had own facebook page.her name then My Journey…boy was it long. Her many friends supported her through her experience’s
She come out of her illness a tough cookie on one side but the other side she went from being a great Hairdresser to a Carer. Her Clients as she calls them Love her to bits, we get the raw side of her though. She has been in remission of a kind now for 3 years. Her treatment was harsh and she looks very different and she always will.
She done a photo shoot recently, a topless one to promote a Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign.
She had to travelled up North, stayed over and had the shoot the next day.
She showed her Photograph discreetly as you can to her friends on Facebook.
I was shocked to be honest, but guess to her,she was loving all the attention from start to finish. Boasting of a kind but you might think she was still looking for support.
Her journey will go on and on.
That would depend if you had been complicit in your problems, and set yourself up as a warning.
I’m not sure about that, I know a few women at my seniors club who’s sole purpose in life is to keep everybody well informed about every ailment they have or doctors visit they attend.
It seems to be a life highlight, get a few of them together and they compete for the worst illness or direst diagnosis, it is all very Pythonesque - I don’t mind as long as they keep plying me with tea and lots of homemade cake.
Brilliant…
I’d love to join in with this topic, but I’ve got an appointment at 9:30 in Leeds with a doctor, so I’ll have to crack on…
Good luck, Foxy.
Don’t let the bugger stick anything sharp into you.
She is a brave girl Dianne you must be proud of her.
Good luck from me too
Well that’s different, Bruce, when you get a load of people together all with a common interest.
That should be a good opening for all the budding proctologists out there, otherwise bumming around;-):-D:lol:
oh dear……Husband has his on the 21st July and he is not looking forward to it…
can do a full report if you want…
Not on my account, Dianne, but I certainly wouldn’t want to deny the enthusiasts of such things the pleasure of hearing all about it. Go ahead, please.
Strange thread … … complaining about folk sharing their health problems as it’s coming from one of the most self-indulgent and narcissistic, talk-about-me-me-me raconteurs on the forum.
Best of luck Foxy … fingers crossed for you.
LOL! Spot on, Morticia! I don’t know how many times I’ve resisted using one of those words!
I had to Google for the meaning of ‘raconteur’!
What do you mean, “one of the most”? :mad2:
Well someone has to downgrade your achievement or you’ll go into a paroxysm of self-indulgism.
