Wonderful, wonderful news! Sounds encouraging. Hugs.
Thatâs wonderful news. Sending you a gentle cyber hug.
ohhhhhhhhhh, such encouraging news, sheâs a fighter for sure xxx
Very encouraging news.
Meant to say that also, as if Sunday wasnât bad enough, on Monday they did a CT scan and found blood clots in her lungs. They managed to disperse most of them, but the surgeon was called later to clear one rather stubborn, sticky clot. He managed to clear most of it, but her lungs were needing lots of support.
And then today, this ^^
What good news Bathsheba, your sister is certainly a fighter.
Brilliant news Bathseba!
Thank you all so much. Honestly, I donât think any of you truly realise just how much being able to pour it all out on here, and read all your heartfelt comments, has helped me. Youâve carried me along with your optimism, prayers, hugs, encouragement and sheer kindness.
Donât ever tell me that forum friends arenât really proper friends
@Bathsheba I will say this tongue in cheek wait until she is well and then hit her for all the stress you are under. LOL.
Bathsheba what an amazing fighter your sister is. So pleased you have had some good news.
Just lending support is the least we could do. Iâm sure you would be the same for anyone on here
@Bathsheba - what wonderful news!

This is great news Bethsheba xx
Bathsheba, l am thrilled at your uplifting news.
To think, the other day, l had to swiftly edit my commiserating words about your sister, to words of how she must keep fighting⊠now this!
Is it any wonder, your nephew had to ascertain it was your sister the nurse was talking about!!
The medical team treating her, have been phenomenal.
Such uplifting news for you, and your family! Wonderful to hear this!
Hi
So, so pleased for you Bathsheba, I really am.
You will know she is really on the long and rocky road to recovery when the tubes and lines are out, and she no longer has a nurse next to her 24/7.
It takes time, at our age, a month for every day she has been in ITU just to restart the body.
She will be so so pleased to have a daily contact with family and friends, even for a very short time everyday, it will aid her recovery so, so, much.
Awwww bless her heart and what wonderful surgeons doctors and nurses they certainly can work miracles cant they .
What a woman she must be . Thinking of you all
Sheba, I am just back online and this is the first thread I looked for. I was in tears for you further up and now I feel so happy for you all! What a wild time you have all had, and I really hope your sister is well on the way to recovery now! I am SO delighted for you
Thanks everyone and welcome back @PixieKnuckles
My sister had a tracheostomy yesterday so oxygen is being delivered direct to her windpipe and she no longer has to have the tube down her throat. She is now off sedation, so she will be awake and her body can get back into a day/night routine. She is also almost off the BP meds as that is stable now. The infection is still holding, but monitored closely. She is now on a non-drowsy pain killer so sheâs more with it.
All updates from my nephew since Wednesday have been progressively better. As he said to me yesterday, âcan we get off the rollercoaster now and get on the teacups please?â. So good to hear him being jokey and lighthearted
