Musk giving $100m to UK Reform?

Probably Just a Sweetener.
Heard on the block.
Reform was organising “Boston Tea Party” Mk2.

Both countries have a long history of sharing advice on winning elections. This example of a few helpers on the ground is not as impactful as sharing successful tactics and strategies. Whereas Musk wishes to pump in almost 3 times the campaign spend (there is a spending limit on election campaigning of £30m per party). Your come-back of “ooh, look, you Brits had some (tiny, tiny, tiny) involvement in a US politics” is nowhere close in scale, impact or intent.

Again, a lie is a lie no matter how you try to paint it. A few or a lot, it all comes down to one thing, interference. Take him to court.

I noticed a couple of things. Didn’t see anyone stopping Musks entrance, guess he was invited. The other is the “a lot of people in the EU worried” about the tariffs. Does that rule out the UK since they are not part of the EU?

They are saying that the tariffs could effect US prices.

Elon Musk denies reports he will donate £80m to Nigel Farage’s Reform | ITV News

Think this sums up what most sane people think of muskito:

You mean what most people who use Tik Tok think of Musk Azz…
Most people who use X (formerly twitter) think well of Musk…

Most sane people  (which yeah, there seems to be more sane people on TikTok than X if you ask me, haha!)

Muskito is as big a turd as farage is imo - how do you feel about him now that he said he’s not giving farage 80m? :081:

he probably deletes or hides the tweets of those who don’t OGF. After all he is the owner.

That just an assumption. It just as likely he is thought well of. He is the owner which bought it and fired the incompetent personnel.

What makes you think the staff he fired were incompetent?

What makes you think they weren’t ?
Incompetence is in the eye of the beholder…Or something along those lines Annie.
No doubt we’ve all had new bosses that didn’t like the way things were run and cut out all the dead wood…

Everyone knows it’s a good idea to fire the competent personnel and keep the incompetent ones.:+1:

The platform was great before the handover and is now rubbish. People have deserted it in droves. So what makes you think the original staff in post were incompetent?

I’m not sure whether you have ever used twitter, but it’s very sad what has happened to it. It’s not easy to find an alternative. There’s just heaps of nonsense to wade through on the updated version. Most people have stopped bothering with it.

Do you use Twitter? I guess it not that bad. Remember Musk cleaned out all the fake accounts or we don’t want to remember that.

it’s not worth bothering with it. I used to check it every day. Now maybe once a month and then I lose interest as it’s full of irrelevant posts. The algorithms are ruined. It was a useful news source, but now it’s a waste of time. It’s full of bots posting about crypto or porn. In the old days the system would moderate out that content.

Signals. The demise of an amazing innovation. As described by its Humanistic innovator. >>

The harm that the internet causes might just possibly outweigh the good stuff.
Is the majority of the human race too immature to handle such a powerful beast…
