Hiya sexy knees - good to hear you and Mrs Fox are recovering - don’t rush it though - much as you are missed in here better to come back fit and healthy!
Such good advice Twinks…We have travelled far and wide in the car and always have food and drinks because we have learnt the hard way Once…
.Once you do that your realise what a godsend it is…Comfort eating as well is nothing but good…
Pleased for you both, that your heading in the right direction…a good tonic is laughter,
Pleased to read you are coming out of the worst of it.
@OldGreyFox Seeing your post has made my day although your trials and tribulations seem bad now I foresee it a being a family “story” for many a year so pleased you are both doing alright and okay. Day 10 I think is a “point of turning.” I am so pleased your dinner was well received as well.
Foxy, I could feel your strength in that post as you sound so much more upbeat than you have done lately.
Keep getting better, spoil yourselves and have whatever you both want… you both deserve it after the ordeal you’ve both been through. xx
@OldGreyFox Lovely to hear from you Bob and to know you are recovering…
Poor Mrs Fox all that time in the car when she must have been desperate to get home.
Foxy
This is such great news that you have both turned a corner. Keep taking it easy and listen to your body as you make your way to full strength.
I know what it feels like but soon it will be a memory and you’ll be even stronger for all those antibodies you’ve built up.
What an ordeal at the hospital though!
I hope you gave each other plenty of comforting hugs xxx
Hey sly old grey
I’m so glad to hear that both you and Mrs Fox are feeling much better!
You’ll be back to your old selves again in no time!
So glad you are starting to recover Foxy, 4 hrs waiting, at least that is all behind you now and you’ll have those wonderful legs of yours on show again before we know it, may God keep you both safe and continue to strengthen you,
Good news Mr Foxy and Lady Foxy. Seems like the turning point. Hang in there!
Aaah, lovely to see you managed to drop by Foxy. As you can see we all still worry about you both.
Great to hear you seem to be getting back to that wellness path.
That hospital day sounded awful and I must admit as well as feeling for you going through stuff at the hospital, I really welled up reading how Mrs Foxy was sobbing.in the car
I’m glad you managed to get a couple of gentle strolls in, that must have lightened your mood a little.
Keep up the good work taking care of yourselves. xxx
So relieved to hear from you Foxy its such a terrible illness. Poor Mrs Foxy on the hospital day it must have traumatic for you both.
My daughter has just bought an Oximetre you might want to look at getting one it tells you how much oxygen is getting into your blood…anything under a reading of 90 is an indicator for needing help…just a suggestion
Take care both of you x
Very glad to hear that you’re both improving, it’s a nasty virus , 4 hours was such a long time to wait, now that the hospital visit’s past, you’ll be able to take it easy and just do what you feel like doing in your own time,
Hi
Foxy, you have not had the jabs, you are against them.
It seems you both have survived the worst.
That does not mean that you have immunity from Long Covid or another attack from a different variant.
What it means is that your immune system is now compromised simply because you are ill.
I wish you both the best of luck.
Hi OGF – so sorry to learn you and Mrs Fox have had covid, you have both been through a very hard time from what you have posted. Good that you are on the way to recovery, although just a little better each day that will all add up. I am sure you will be listening to what your body is telling you. Get plenty of rest and sleep, that’s what we all need when unwell, even more so with having had covid. Everything else can wait until another day. I wish you both a speedy recovery and that you will soon be 100% again.
wonderful news to hear a positive update Foxy, it might be a while before you are fit and well but thank God you both survived. Long may you both continue to recover to better health.
Hugs for you xxx
Thanks once again to everyone who prayed for our recovery and sent best wishes and support…
I think I can honestly say that it has worked, and Mrs Fox and me are well on the road to fitness.
@Kazz was right, after ten days things did seem to improve, and by the time we arrived at day 14 we were beginning to eat better and regain some interest in the day to day running of the house. I even managed to reclaim the waste ground that used to support a lawn. After reading so much about covid19 and its ability to present a few surprises, I have always been reluctant to post too much progress on the forum. But each new day gives us more energy than the last, and I’m waking up with a mental positivity and interest in the things I have neglected this last couple of weeks. I have always believed optimism and a positive mental attitude is half the battle of recovery, and it’s not been the first time that my physical fitness has helped me through illness.
The sun is shining, and there is a line of washing out on the line (courtesy of Mrs Fox) and It’s time to pull on my shorts and relax in the sunshine planning my next adventure…
Glad to have you back OGF …
That’s really good to read OGF, I’ve thought all along that your physical fitness to date would see you through a lot of whatever covid left you with. No doubt many of the OFC ladies will also be pleased to hear the news about your shorts! Keep positive and that small improvement each day will just add up, hopefully you will very soon be back to your old self, and Mrs Fox too. My best wishes to you both for a continued good recovery.
I sent a lot of prayers up for you both ,my lovely, so happy to see you are both on the mend and have turned that corner…,
