Funny. It was perfectly available just before Christmas.
It still can be, with a suitable political will.

Most of the promises of Brexit were undeliverable. If you want to blame Boris for something, blame him for lying in the first place, not for his lack of political will.
Can you elaborate?
Which specific promises were undeliverable, and for what reason?
No, and if you thought I could, you wouldn’t have asked me.
So why say “most promises of Brexit were undeliverable” then if you don’t know what they are ?
Because I remember thinking it when they were made, and it subsequently turned out to be the case. I realise that doesn’t constitute an argument, but I’m not looking for an argument; I’m just making a comment. The Irish problem is the only specific thing that comes to mind. There is no solution to it that doesn’t cross somebody’s red line.
Smart borders would be a perfect solution.
Hi
Smart Borders would , but are years away, especially with just in time goods.
They will not help with sanitary and phytosanitary checks.
If only you were in charge of the negotiations.
I would have walked away Harbal.
Even the EU recommended smart borders as part of their Smart Border 2.0 initiative but they saw an opportunity to weaponise the Irish border to try and harvest the troubles again to stop us leaving and in doing so annexing part of our union
May liked the idea so she agreed to the plot of the Irish backstop which would keep us in the EU forever against the will of the people. The reality is very much different… and there was never a customs border there anyway, and there doesn’t need to be in the future.
The EU and the UK are breaking the law and the GFA with this farce of a border down the Irish Sea.
I don’t actually believe that.
Only the will of slightly more than half the people, Bread. I’m one of the people, and it wouldn’t have been against my will.
I don’t see why we can’t just not institute customs regulations at all
on our side of the border ??
If EU or ROI require one, surely it is up to them ??
Why must NI be involved at all, especially as now the so called
“road bridge” has fallen out of favour!!
Good riddance, l say? It will cut down on pollution of many kinds !!
Donkeyman!
Hi
WTO Rules are absolutely clear, if we do not institute Customs Regulations with the EU we cannot institute them with anyone else.
NI is involved as it is part of the UK, not part of the EU and the Good Friday Agreement prohibits a fixed Border in NI.
I always knew that we would have to have a Border and one in the Irish Sea is fine by me.
Boris has gone for a very hard Brexit, only one step short of No Deal, there is a price to pay for it.
A Norway or a Switzerland arrangement would have done for me.
I wanted out because I did not want any further Integration and our Politicians were selling us down the road.
They still are as regards Fishing, it is a nightmare for our fisheries.
The majority is what counts Harbal.
Here is Smart Borders 2.0
We don’t need customs borders located on geographical borders. It’s a myth We have goods inspections at point of destination all over the world.
“The will of the people” is a misleading term; it implies all the people, which is not the case. Besides, the majority might have voted for out, but they didn’t vote for any specific details, so you can’t possibly know what is against their will, other than remaining in the EU.
Thank you Percy.
Should I point out that our government also don’t make anything and yet they run the country?
We will ignore that these “think tanks” you disparage are responsible for so much in our lives shall we?
Examples invclude the government’s approach to vaccinations, and look how that has worked out so far.
No it doesn’t that’s why we had a referendum to decide.
You lost.
Politics could be relatively straight forward, politicians have turned British politics into an emetic farce.
Don’t know what you are referring to.
Lost what?
