Leisurely Scribbles (part 5) (Part 1)

Masters will always trump Jacks.

Don’t time fly, it must be 50 years since I saw a Woolly bear.

[QUOTE=gumbud; “you got plenty of time Jem!”

Well you know the old Irish philosophy on life Gummy, “We’e not here for a long time, we’re here for a good time”

I love that Jem.
I will try and remember that.

I never watch soaps, they have Eastenders on Irish TV now and the wife has taken to watching it, God help me, it’s bad enough having to put up with our own miserable soaps without importing more.
Why is everyone on Eastenders so bored looking and miserable all the time?, they slouch about from one place to the other carrying mugs of tea grunting and shouting at each other, I counted two forced semi smiles in the whole half hour show tonight, it’s all so depressing.
If that’s entertainment then I thank God for the boozer, at least you get a good laugh out of the old geezers up there even if they have one foot in the grave and the other on a banana skin.
And there’s not a decent looking bird in the whole show.

I watch Eastenders. It is the only soap that I watch. You will get used to it. Can you understand what they are saying Jem?

Yes I understand alright, anytime I’ve been to London I always had a great time, completely different characters to the lot on Eastenders. The wife can keep them, I could never get used to the characters on it, the whole cast seem to be caught in a rut that they can’t get out of.
Still we all have different idea’s on entertainment which is fair enough, I hope you continue to enjoy it, but it’s not for me I’m afraid.;-)

Your avin a tin barf, they are very similar in the old East End.
Not the West End.

Sweetie Pie, you can talk tin baths all night, but you won’t galvanize opinion.

Oh well, I try.
My Dad was a cockeye, so I do rabbit.

A nod is as good as a wink to a blind bat.
