Leisurely Scribbles (part 5) (Part 1)

RJ, do you have faith in what you see?

This Youtubing is killing debate.

Nuffink rong wiv a tin barf! I was a really clean child!

Good Night Possums. X

Drat you tube… here are some scriptures to ponder

“Where were you when I laid the earth’s foundation?
Tell me, if you understand.
5 Who marked off its dimensions? Surely you know!
Who stretched a measuring line across it?
6 On what were its footings set,
or who laid its cornerstone—
7 while the morning stars sang together
and all the angels[a] shouted for joy?
JOB 38 1-4

Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.
HEBREWS 11.1

16 Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. 17 For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. 18 So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.

2 cor 2

Was that helpful?

Not to those of the palaeolithic, mezsozoic and cretaceous eras,RJ,no.

According to Leviticus 25:44 I may possess slaves but they must be from another country. Does that mean I could have Aussies?

don’t be foolish mon -you could never afford us - they are way out of your price range - however we are currently sending back kiwis of a criminal nature - you know those who ride three wheeler tricycles etc

People always fear change. People feared electricity when it was invented, didn’t they? People feared coal, they feared gas-powered engines… There will always be ignorance, and ignorance leads to fear. But with time, people will come to accept their silicon masters.

Bill Gates

Not sure electricity was invented though.

Gummy, what’s with the pleonasm?

The famous Will Rogers, writer, actor, comedian, cowboy, and arch slagger of politicians (my kind of man), who tragically died in an air crash in 1935 said “I don’t make jokes, I just watch the government and report the facts”
Explains a lot doesn’t it, even today they are still making jokes of themselves.
He also said
“When I die, my epitaph, or whatever you call those signs on gravestones, is going to read: “I joked about every prominent man of my time, but I never met a man I dident [sic] like.” I am so proud of that, I can hardly wait to die so it can be carved” Wiki
He got his wish sooner that he thought.:frowning:

Mine is already carved, it’s short and sweet, well at 10 euros a letter it had to be.

“Here lies a man called Jem
Say a prayer for him now and again”

Very clever posts coming through of late, very clever but not art
SP
very clever wordplay. I fell straight into the trap, mentally raging at the incorrect use of words, & then the penny DROPPED.
Just as well, they’re being phased out, the coins that is.

(if the cap fits)

Now the subject of PUNCTUATion is on the agenda I confess that my punctuation is ghastly.I blame
Failing Dexterity.

I prefer the simpler words, it’s a case of having to anyway. String a few simple words together and what have you got.
(this is a real spell checker’s nightmare, great for getting your own back on the bloody thing :-D)

One might also ask do you have faith in what you hear, smell, feel.
Some feel faith without seeing what they have faith in.
Some say that what we see is an illusion, what we hear is all lies, and what we feel is tiredness when we are painting sheds or offices, that is because we cannot control our emulsions.

“Look not upon the starving beggar with pity, for pity shall not feed him, give him alms directly, eliminate the middle man for his belly is already overflowing with greed” Jem. chap. 23 verse 16.
