OMG - she’s started some trouble now - just as we waz all settlin down - up come the fighting cocks - OK will have to put me spurs on now!!
bugger,it didn’t work.
er…carry on,chaps…
If at first, you don’t succeed, try, try again. ![]()
Hmm…one was going to make an attempt at posting a site re the 23 most unusual pub names in the UK…but this #!+*ing computer decided to take that very moment to update it’s drivers. Meh…ok,one can appreciate speedy computers-but it ruined my big moment. #sigh#
Yep, that is Windows 10. Plus this site keeps crashing today.
I know it’s not me. I have had to sign in twice!!!
Ahem…one does NOT use that joke system ‘‘W10’’,my dear lady.
One cannot go into detail-so suffice it to say ‘10’ is a sad mess.
However…here,Linux Mint 19 has now been installed and all is well.
I suggest you download it onto a usb stick,Sweetie-it’s free.
No idea what that is Pugsy. Not a clue.![]()
Goo-Glit,hon.
Then when the usual list comes up,click on Linux 19 from Linux’s own site…it’s best downloaded directly onto a stick,so it can be loaded alongside your W10,rather than replacing it. Try it a few times…you’ll be MORE than impressed…
I will google later. Still confused:confused:
Ok. But honestly,it’s MEGA simple, utterly reliable, totally free of adware, has security built-in…and can be operated even by a first-time ‘virgin’ without trauma,as Linux actually tries to help, not just expects you to know what to do. All of which is why it’s here on this machine, moi lurvely…xxx
Best to send me an email with a link Pugsy.
I just googled and got a penguin:mrgreen:
Thats right…‘Tux’ is the Linux logo.
Oh I got it right:lol:
Click on this…then decide whether you want 32-bit or 64-bit,click on it [I use Cinnamon]and download it to either a CD or a USB stick…bingo!Download - Linux Mint
…that way, when you upload it to your computer,it runs alongside the base system, rather than over it…so your drivers don’t strain to keep up with demand.
What place is this, “Nurdville”?
Takes one to know one.

Been out on the boards, Gummy ain’t been endearing himself, now, I ain’t no team player but, it seems he can only be taken to a place twice, the first time for experience, the second time to apologise, so, who is going to chaperone him, oh, and btw, did I mention the burst principal before.
