Yes, I notice the drinking in others in the afternoon. My thoughts on this are, “What are they like at midnight”?
I used to be the worst alcoholic in my 30s. It led me to years just travelling around England. Strangely, I liked Worcester so much that I ended up there a few times. But I visited a lot of the other Cathedral cities too, Hereford was another favourite of mine.
These days I don’t drink. Before my current bout of illness (6 or 8 weeks) I would sometimes drink a glass of Malbec with my freshly made dinner, but only every 2 or 3 weeks. I don’t drink at all now.
When you se those pictures in the Daily Mail of revellers the previous night, one can’t help thinking about what danger people are putting them selves into. Spiked drinks, risk of being run over or murdered by a stranger or someone they know. Horrible things.
I’ll be having a ginger beer tomorrow though. It’s a drink I’ve always enjoyed.
I NEVER drink in the afternoon Dreamy.
I used to in the distant past.
It would put me to sleep if I had just one glass these days.
I totally agree with your comments.
I will raise a glass to you tomorrow.
I did spend one New Year in Scotland, they celebrate big time.
When my husband had a stroke a few years ago we set up a calendar by his seat and he marked off a day each time he went to bed at night that helped enormously with him remembering what day of the week we were on.
With my MS I have to make sure I keep moving the muscles and limbs that I tend to forget about when i’m trying to keep comfortable. If you are in pain you tend to not move bits of yourself I wonder if that’s happening with your neck etc. It’s worth trying a few exercises with that in mind just to see if it helps.
Just had a couple who were in the shop below. I don’t know when they started but he was almost out of control. They were buying more alcohol.
I suppose it’s possible to black out, wake up and still hear the bells at midnight. Somehow I don’t think this couple are going to be up for that, especially as they started loudly complaining about the alcohol prices.
