I've had my chest x-ray

Yes, I hope so.

I’m sure it will all be over soon Dreamy. X
I know you are fed up.

It’s a truly awful experience you’re going through, Ffosse.:frowning:
Let’s just hope fingers crossed that they will be able to find the root cause of all these problems and you become at least well enough to rest and convalesce at home instead of the hospital. I’m sure those places make conditions even worse. At least at home you are independent and can move around your place a bit with your home comforts.
Wishing you well as always buddy

Thanks Floydy, yes it is a dire situation and how the days and weeks accrue with no resolution. To be told,"Sorry, but we’re starting from zero is a bitter blow. I only have one symptom. Blood spikes necessitating paracetamol to avoid a fever and they can’t fix that? They know it’s not cancer so what is taking them so long?

Sometimes temp is affected by hormones?

Plus, I’m just not sure I can take another 18 days of this - antibiotics when I feel a bit sick etc. Then the top gun antibiotics when I’m really ill.

Constant injections into tired, broken veins etc.

Dreamy there should be someone you can ask questions with at the hospital.
You do seem to be in the dark over this.
I spoke to a liaison officer about my Mother, as the doctors were so busy.

Dear Heavenly Father…

I come before You today Dear Lord, on behalf of my friend Richard, who is struggling in the hospital with so much illness. I lift him up to You Father, in faith, that you will lend him Your courage and strength, which he needs so badly in order to face whatever is before him.

He reached out for YOU today Dear Lord, please touch him in a mighty way…and let Richard know that You are with him today and forever. Forgive him for all his shortcomings Lord, as you forgive all of us, ours as well…

If it is Your will Father, please bless him with a healing. If it is not your will at this time, please take him by the hand and guide him and comfort him in this journey, make his pain easier to bear, let him feel Your love. Teach him to put his faith in you, whatever the outcome will be.

We know we all have to meet certain hardships in life, and it is so much easier when we know You are with us…

I pray for Richard, Dear Lord, I lift him high…above all else and I pray this in the name of Your loving Son, Jesus Christ,

Amen

Ffosse, do you have the means to go private - Bupa etc? You might get more of a satisfactory outcome than from the NHS?

Tbh, Floydy, I think it’s gone past getting another team of doctors an haemotology workers. This lot are meant to be against the best in the World.

Dreamy I hope you sleep well.x

I didn’t sleep that well, up by 3:15.I may as well stay up though as there is nothing to do.

When you can’t sleep Richard, just talk to God in your own words and lay your burdens on Him. Talk to Him about how you feel, and that you have a hard time ā€œbelievingā€ā€¦ I know you are shy and can’t talk to me about it here, but you have made a stand, now you can build a relationship with God. Even if you don’t believe Richard, you don’t have anything to lose.

I have added your name to the Prayer Chain at my church and when they say they are praying for you, you can take that right to the bank, because they love to pray.

If you want to talk to me privately, you know how to reach me, anytime…Blue x  x

That’s very generous, WB, knowing that hundreds of people will be praying for me in Ontario - so far away from me. I do believe in prayer; I think it works.

Today I spent the morning huddled up in a blanket waiting for them to give me my paracetamol. They eventuallly did, but not quick enough for my liking.

I am so glad to hear this Richard…never give up hope, it won’t be just Ontario…these prayer chains go to all the missionary outposts as well…once when I was sick, they were praying for me in Africa.

It will give you a ā€œgoodā€ feeling, and everytime you feel ā€œbad or downā€, turn that right around with a little prayer and tell Him how much you appreciate Him and you want to get well.

If you talk to your nurses, and find out if any of them believe in the Power of Prayer, ask them to pray for you…even if they are Arab or Jewish, no matter, let them pray in their mother tongue.

Blue  x

Oh poor you Dreamy.
It must be so boring.
Paracetamol has its side effects also.
I hope this spiking of temperature is sorted soon x

Me too -it took them ages to recognise the spike.

I think asking the nurses for their religion would be a bit non pc these days and some of them would get into trouble.

Yes, of course, things are different here…I have to remember that…

Just checking in on you this morning Richard and hope your day is easier…

Blue X
