I can imagine the painful and carefully orchestrated dialogue - essentially between Trump and Hegseth but all facilitated by many advisors. Moving from Hegseth announcing the live stream execution with much whooping. To Trump initially re-whooping. To advisor number 1 observing the potentially bad optics just before the mid-terms. To advisor number 2 putting forward a palatable curated execution. To advisor number 3 reminding everyone that such executions are normally found in Iran / Afghanistan and fully criticised. To Trump telling everyone that they are pussies. To Hegseth whooping again, this time on a widely shared social media account. Which he thought was secure. Back to advisor number 1 recommending the excution is not broadcast. To Trump and Hegseth bleating like 4 year olds that its not fair.
Edit - just read how evangalist churches really wanted this execution broadcast so I need to add another step in this story. To God slapping his forehead and swearing.

For years nations have been programmed to hate the Russians with endless amounts of movies promoting them as the bad guys. Dubious deaths have occured and blamed on Putin and the Russians. If Putin wanted to have someone removed he has the ability to put the blame on someone else…You know…Like we do.
A dangerous world with this pair in power it appears, the sooner they are both gone the better.
Net is not at fault here defending his people, Iran is. The Donald is just a POWER HUNGRY SOB. Putin just takes anything he wants to. Kim is basically the same way, so is She! So there are 4 major players taking anything they want to. Why is Ai right about human civilization ending within 20 years. Isn’t it sort of like walking down the red carpet to it.

The sad thing is that the major players will walk away one way or another, and the world is left with a complete and utter mess to clean up.

Trump is determined to let Russia get Ukraine. The below is from an article a read that criticises Trump’s latest wheeze of limiting Ukraine’s access to the military version of Starlink and stopping giving Ukraine intel on Russian missile attacks. Sums up the cruelty of Trump nicely…

I thought Trump had signed some kind of deal to get cheap minerals from Ukraine as part of the US helping.
The UN created Israel and England didn’t do its Job. It’s easy to find a lot of faults in a really corrupt European plan. Nukes will soon fly, good luck. You helped cause it to happen.
I recall it was a huge deal that was to run for many, many years. But as it was a deal between the US and another country so Trump is certain he can ignore it, drop it, or enforce it as he feels like. See also previous trade deal with Canada that Trump signed in his first term - dropped. For Trump signing an agreement is, as Carney noted, done in pencil.
I wonder if a more apt question would be is he the most dishonest/corrupt person to hold the position of president. Undoubtedly yes

Yours is that Trump is a very dishonest & corrupt person, and who has held the office of president. As such, he qualifies as the most dishonest & corrupt person to have held this office. (I’m not disagreeing with that.)
The original question was if Trump is the dishonest & corrupt president, in his role as president. (I think I’d agree with this also.)

Maybe not. I didn’t think it through to its ultimate conclusions. My thought was just that maybe all of his corruption and dishonesty may not have happened in the office of president…pedophilia, attack on capital, tax evasion…and I wouldn’t want him to lose out of winning this contest for another more decent human who may have made some corrupt decisions under the title. Maybe it’s the same question though ultimately
Of that there is no doubt. He honed those, err, skills well before taking office. And seems to have looked back on his first term as full of wasted opportunities (for self enrichment) and that was a short-coming he was going to learn from second time around.

Nearly everyday we hear yet another random thought from the POTUS which may, or may not endorse or contradict yesterday’s thoughts on the matter.
I’m kinda coming to the conclusion that the press ought to stop reporting what he says as it of scant importance most of the time.
All in all, I think it’d be more informative to listen to the Duchess of Sussex’s ideas of how to re-bag some cheesy Wotzits.

I stopped watching the briefings a long time ago and nothing has changed. Well the price of petrol has gone right up overnight and people are talking about being “preppers” and how many litres of water is enough to store in your garage. It’s like the 1970s again.
