I was very, very shocked when I read about this. It is the decision of each country to apply capital punishment and under what criteria. However capital punishment is surely the punishment of last recourse, only to be applied in response to the worst possible crimes and the appropriateness assessed with rigour. And, most importantly, to be conducted only with gravity and swiftness. To decide to instead conduct the execution with an aim to glorify or celebration or entertainment (or all of these) is to reduce those responsible to cruel fools.

It seems to me that Tennessee lacks the experience to carry out capital punishment. They might want get the firing squad from Tennessee.
7 Oct 2026 was Texas last capital punishment. No problems. Texas has put in an express lane for capital punishment.
The US has performed 29 capital punishment this year.
It doesn’t seem to slow or stop serious crimes so making them public might have a bigger impact.
The US has England to thank for capital punishment for the punishments that were performed on colonist.
