I went down to Ft Knox and Ft. Campbell in early 70ās, My Bro was in the 101st, we and wives walked into the Vault and was shocked at how lil gold was there. Couple lil pallets. Now those bars were most likely heavy if not just plated led. But not anywhere close to 1000 of them. So somewhere less than $65 an ounce then. I could estimate less than 3 metric tons, less than $7,000,000.
